Found in a back yard near mine

Today I found a CC100 in a back yard a couple of miles from mine. I will be going back with my trailer and a little cash. It has the deck and it runs. The price is right, being about what a deck alone usually sells for in this area. There is a local show this weekend so I will probably clean it up and ride it around at the show. The seller says the only thing that has been done to it, other than oil changes, is one front and one rear tire has been replaced.

The seller overheard two of my cousins and me talking at the local flea market on Saturday morning and ask me if I liked old hit-n-miss engines & related stuff. Of course I said YES. He said he had some that he would like to sell. So it was on.
He also has a Speedex S24 tractor that I am going to buy.

Really nice!

I'd stabilize that old patina and enjoy and cherish it!

I finally was able to pick up my 100 today. The seller wanted to back out but finally said since he had already agreed to the sale he would still let me have it. He just had to tell me several times what a deal I was getting.
According to the number it was built in June of 1965.
My dog approves. I cleaned out the tank & carb bowl, cleaned the points, installed a battery, and rode it around the yard, with the dog on my lap.

Now that the 100 is home for good, I'll be going for two more of the Cub Cadets I've found tomorrow. Probably the 122 and the 108. The other three, 102, 104, and 128 next week.
I wish the 108 had factory/option headlights and a seat and the 122 had the correct steering wheel, but I'll find them. And I prefer the narrow front wheels & tires like the ones on the 108 for the 122. The seller says he has the grill for the 108 stashed.

Well crap! The "seller" has decided, after putting me off several times for various reasons already, that he doesn't want to sell any of the five Cub Cadets. He is somewhat elderly,( I don't know how old,) and I didn't say much because I didn't want to make him mad, yet. He also has a 1954 Power King/Economy tractor that he is still willing to sell to me and I don't want to mess up that deal too.:Mad1:
