Congrats, on your Original! You are very lucky to have a rear PTO. :beerchug:

Sminkey 08-09-2010 02:10 PM

Nice Find!!

Would love to score a rear pto for the Original I'm buying tomorrow. Nice pics and keep em comin!! There is a rear pto for my 71 on ccspecialties, but $500 is another tractor!! It is NOS though, which makes it very tempting.

How about that Seat?? Looks a little rusty but I can't see ANY cracks in it?

denrocks1 08-09-2010 02:37 PM

Nice find.

Can you engage the PTO and tell me if it turns the same direction as the engine?

mrcubcadet 08-09-2010 02:48 PM

Nice find!

I have a Farmall Cub pto that I plan on putting on one of my Originals.

Cub Cadet 123 08-09-2010 03:13 PM

johncub7172 08-10-2010 12:31 AM

Glad to have you! Those rear pto's are rare and I have yet to see one in action.

JayBrd 08-10-2010 08:56 AM

First one I've seen with the mulch plug still mounted on the deck in a while too.

eastonct124 08-22-2010 08:29 PM

can i ask a stupid question?

what does anyone use a rear PTO on a cub for??

from everything i have seen there is noting you can use them for

or is there soem thing i should look for?

thanks

ihnick 08-23-2010 12:22 AM

i think it would be cool to put a belt pulley on and run some old belt stuff. like a corn sheller or something.

Cub Cadet 123 08-23-2010 12:23 AM

Here's one if you like corn.....check it out!!

I want one to: run a serious chipper, and 2: mount a hydraulic pump for a log splitter, then I can tow the splitter, and simply have long lines to the pump off the pto shaft.

cjrolke 09-01-2010 11:20 AM

well its alive
and i have video to prove it :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BxNViWGRHo

ACecil 09-01-2010 01:30 PM

cjrolke 09-01-2010 03:22 PM

Iluvtruks0 09-01-2010 06:22 PM

CJ, i just came across an Original today with the rear pto on it. no mowing deck but it does have the headlights. I was wondering if you minded sharing with me the price you paid for it so i know if this guy is crazy or not. You can PM me if you want. Thanks!!

Randy Littrell 09-01-2010 06:32 PM

CJ- You have me beat on the rear PTO, but I have consecutive serial # OCC's. 14,882 and 14,883! :beer2:

Just something about those Originals ain't there. I love em.

Welcome to the forum! :beerchug:

i will share the price i am not afraid of saying that with a partially stuck motor(stuck valve) bad starter generator, wrong hood(but it had beautiful 70 or 100 hood) i gave $100

Randy

i wish the serial numbers were closer but i will settle for being 7 digits off

Randy Littrell 09-01-2010 10:55 PM

It was just dumb luck on my part, I already had it on the trailer when I looked at the serial #.

Iluvtruks0 09-02-2010 12:20 PM

Thanks CJ. Some people are kinda wierd when it comes to sharing prices. I think this guy is a little high considering the shape its in. He wants $600.00

Hello Jaybird,
What do you mean? Mulch plug?

cjrolke 10-24-2010 06:26 PM

the piece of sheet metal that covers the opening on the deck to stop the grass from coming out the side

i picked up another doec for another original and it has the mulch plug but it is in the down position
