Head bolts

What head bolts should I use on the 1250? The old head bolts are warped and I really don't want to reuse them. Also, it lists two different bolt lengths, 1 1/2, and 1 3/4 in, which one is right? What grade should I use?

How long is the spacer? Mine was snapped in half (no idea how you'd do that).

The stud goes in the #4 position and the long bolt goes in the #9 position.

The spacer goes on the stud for the lift bracket. As I recall you don't have a lift bracket. Right? :bigthink:

Duh! It's as long as the one that you have snapped in half after you put the two pieces together.

Oh, I managed to find a lift bracket on the floor off my brother's 1450. Lucky me, I guess.

Tried that. Both parts when absolutely flying when it snapped off the stud and will be impossible to find.

Ok. Good. I can't measure it now. You can see it in the second picture, it's like 3/4" to 7/8" long. You can make it out of a piece of pipe.

You should update your fastener list.

twoton 01-09-2019 11:44 AM

Figured he could start a fastener list that attaches all items to an engine...

Maybe pictures of the items can be added too! Kind of like the exploded view with the list of parts below found in a Parts Manual! That would be handy.

:bigthink:
