Got an IH 982 with 3 pt, front outlets, rear pto, IH cab and snow thrower. Never seen an IH windbreaker cab for the supers.

Very nice my feathered friend. Indeed, did that come from Freedom PA as Oak listed? I hope so for you because oh my word that was a fantastic price.

Gompers 11-25-2018 05:34 PM

Removed fuel tank and drained, put new fuel filter and hose, changed oil and filter, runs well. Took tank back off gonna clean everything up on it. Is anyone familiar with this IH snow thrower? I’ve seen habans similar but not with the big shield mounted up top this thing is huge. Gonna swap out the dash panel from a good parts 782 seeing as how this one is cracked

Looks like it's an H48. I don't know much about them, but have seen them in some sales literature. Definitely a monster.

Very nice! That logo on the cab reminds me of the one for the farm tractor widbreakers back in the 70's.

SLS327 11-25-2018 09:23 PM

Nice tractor and accessories! If you get that blower and windbreaker on there you'll be all set for winter in the east.

I take it you are the young, good looking guy that bought the one in East Freedom. I posted that link as I thought it had to be a good deal. No room in the garage for another and two to work on this winter. Looks like it was a 4 hour round trip for you.

sorner 11-26-2018 11:24 AM

Meh... The gauges are shot. :biggrin2:

Just kidding... that's quite a find!

SGragg 11-26-2018 11:32 AM

Nice haul on the 982. Congrats!!

Leaving it in work clothes or plans to beautify?

ACecil 11-26-2018 11:52 AM

Nice score on the 982!

Last guy to run it said it sounded like a jet engine when running

It’s really not in bad original shape, just sat out and dirty, it’ll clean up nice, I like to keep them as original as possible unless it’s a full restore
