What parts did you get today?

Thought I would start a thread where members can post up about the parts they bought today. It can be anything from tune up parts to hard to find parts or that one part you've been searching for to complete a project.

My restored 108 has a quiet line style headlight panel but I scored the correct panel yesterday for $25. I still had the decal from when I did the tractor and if it didn't get lost in the move I hope to have these installed later this week.

I bet this will be a very popular thread after people come home from swap meets with their goodies!

I guess I didn't specify that this thread is for Cub parts.

Parts for Cub Cadet

Just ordered a new decal set for cub 149. I messed up the large decal that goes on the trunnion inspection plate. Have another 149 that could use a paint job on the hood and new decals. This will cover both with a few extras. Need to order a few mechanical parts also, but that will be for another day, Have a great day.
Bob

Well that plastic contraption is coming together SLOWLY. Got this back from the powder coaters today. It will look good with the new grill. Now if I can just remember where I put those rubber plugs that go in the ends of the tubes.:bigthink:

Very Nice John!:beerchug: Is that a factory Cub bumper or is that one of the ones Randy was making a few years back?:bigthink:

john hall 09-24-2018 10:33 PM

Go that one from him about a year or so ago. Put it on and let it rust like crazy, no time to paint. Touched up a couple rough edges and sandblasted it. We've been sending out big loads of powder coat for about the last 18 months. Finally got to the end of the project and decided it was now or never to send my "G" job out.

Gompers 09-25-2018 08:39 AM

Ordered a new set of decals for my "good" 782. Everything is pretty good on it, except at some point in the past it was painted, and the guy put the hood stickers on backwards and crooked.

I've lived with it for a year, but it bothers me every time I drive it and it is worth the $40 or so to fix.

finsruskw 09-25-2018 08:57 AM

Didn't get a damn thing!!
The order I was expecting, and tracking showed it on the way 10 days ago, showed up at someone else's place 2000 miles away in CA!!!

Thanks ham fisted E-Bay shipper!!
But, they did give me a full refund!

The pressure washer is for cleaning Cub Parts

Bragger :biggrin2:

darkminion_17 09-25-2018 04:40 PM

Yeah your right, I may have to go to the prevention of bragging and showoff seminar, but I did need a new cap.

How OLD is that one? The ones I'm running are only 2-3 years old and I'm noticing the float is doing more sinking than floating.

finsruskw 09-26-2018 08:18 AM

Same issue here. Plastic float ain't floating much at all

darkminion_17 09-26-2018 10:24 AM

John, the old one is original, float is fine but the lens is brownish hard to see.
The one in my hand is from 1995.

I know how you feel, I've been tracking my new toy to pull behind my cub cadet but it has been sitting in N.C. since about the 19th it was due to be here the 25th. The tracking number showed it made as far as Chicago (don't ask me :HeadScratch:) Oh by the way I'm sure Yellow will make up for the Major screw up :ROTF2:
I did get my new Tru Powers that I bought from olds45512

Came into this one a little late, but I’ll play. Couple weeks ago I got new rod ends for the steering on my 1812 (after one broke). Decided to do them all, got a new cam follower from JeffInPA, (great workmanship BTW). Axle braces from Xtreme, and going to change the Hy-tran and filter soon. New front tires (V-61) to replace the clapped out turfs, and some new-to-me spindles to replace the bent ones I have. Thanks to another member, CubDeiselFan for those :beerchug:

Edit: just saw this was in the “IH tractor section, forgive my intrusion with my CCC 1812:biggrin2:

SS5150 09-26-2018 10:32 PM

Got a pulse-type fuel pump for my 782/Command conversion today, hopefully the rest of the pieces get here this week and I can nail it back together this weekend.

Cub Cadet 123 09-26-2018 11:44 PM

I got two headlight rings for my 12X headlight panel.

Ever since I saw a 1050 on Craigslist with no headlights I've wanted to find a panel with no lights and it turns out the 1050 that alvy bought had it so we did a little horse trading and now I have it. This pic was taken after some minor straightening and a coat of paint, can't wait to get it installed. I'm probably the only person here that would remove light's.

Edit- here's a pic with the emblem installed.

My neighbor growing up had a 1200 with the screen panel (no headlights) and an IH emblem right in the middle.. I always kinda secretly liked it!:beerchug: Made it look kinda stealthy and tough!:biggrin2:

DieselDoctor stopped by today on his way back from Virginia and we had a mini swap meet in my driveway... He brought me a mostly complete 100 for trade for a fender and hood plastic for his "not a parts tractor" tractor.

:beerchug:

DieselDoctor 09-28-2018 01:05 AM

Yep! Steve had a beautiful set of fenders that will go on the 1782 along with a nice hood and decent nose. He also put a really clean seat riser assembly in the deal. I'm happy and I got to meet another OCC face to face. Thanks Steve!

ACecil 10-06-2018 09:11 PM

Got some goodies for the 1512 today. The rubber bumpers and spring that goes under the seat. Also got a pair of IH wheel weights. :beerchug:
