DeltaCub vs Bllwnkl

DeltaCub sold a Cub today. Bllwnkl bought a Cub today!
My son and I took a road trip today. Thank you Beth for being so fair with me with the transaction. Not only that, but I really had a great time seeing your Cubhouse full of "mostly" Cub Cadets. Very informative and educational as well! A two hour round trip with one of the best days to take a drive that you could ask for. Very satisfying day!

Off the truck, ramps put away, it's now at it's new home!

Looks good Bullwinkle. I see 3 people in the pic but only 2 names. :bigthink:

What QL did you get?

Hey, what's up with that 90's Chevy not being rusted out up there in the rust belt?

DeltaCub 07-27-2018 07:16 PM

Thanks Randy! It was a pleasure meeting you and your son. Now you have twin 1250s. Your yard looks yuuuuge.

Thanks Oak. I stated that my son and I took a road trip. Bought the 1250 with hydro lift that she just acquired. I bought that truck as you see it from a neighbor that sells used vehicles. It came from North Carolina. Beth agrees that the body is in pretty good shape except for the typical paint peel!

Congrats on your new cub Mr Bullwinkle, isn't it great to meet other forum members especially the pretty ones!
What are your plans for it?
BTW, it looks like a long strange trip you took, if you know what I mean.

X2. Nice quiet line and great for members to meet as well. And yes, bullwinkle and rocky look like they had a good time truckin. Nice to see Beth in the pic!

Thanks! Yes it sure is neat to meet forum members.
I plan on fixing anything that might need fixed, put my snow blade on it and take advantage of the hydraulic lift!

I'm smart enough to figure out that Beth is the one without a beard, but those other two.... I think..... I dunno

J-Mech 07-27-2018 09:45 PM

Randy, glad you got a good Cub, and from a great gal too! It's always great to meet members.

We've seen Randy's mug, nice to see a pic of Beth!

Uh oh, I should have combined these replies, sorry to take up the space. :OhOh:

zippy1 07-27-2018 11:51 PM

Congrats on the 1250 Randy.:beerchug:
That hydraulic lift will make your arm feel great after a day of pushing snow. Compared to manual lift, you'll never go back to "armstrong"...:beerchug:
We need to reopen the "Put a face to the name" thread again, lot of new members.

Oh, come on... that was only 9 years ago! Can't have gotten too old yet, lol.

I don't think I have changed much! Yeah, right! Actually, this pic was taken around the same time that 1250 I bought from you was built!

mortten 07-28-2018 10:32 AM

Beth, I’ve met you. Don’t think fat and old are a problem you have yet.

J-Mech 07-28-2018 11:24 AM

Ok Randy..... I have to ask. Your screen name is bullwinkle, and in the pic you have on a shirt with Bullwinkle.... so, what's the story? Is it a nickname? Do you just like Bullwinkle? Hoping there is a good story behind it, lol.

I didn't realize it, but it turns out that I can do a pretty good Bullwinkle imitation, ask Beth! People that know me expect me to do my Bullwinkle voice. I was asked to speak at my church a while back and my pastor wanted to know if I was going to do my Bullwinkle imitation! And no, I didn't!
Not sure how true it is, but I had heard that Bill Scott got the idea of Bullwinkle's voice after hearing Red Skelton's character, Clem Kadiddlehopper.

J-Mech 07-28-2018 01:13 PM

Well, that's cool!

Interesting fact: Red Skelton was from Vincennes, Indiana, which is only about 40 miles or so from me. Go there often. The main bridge across the Wabash river at Vincennes is the Red Skelton Bridge.

Along the same lines, Burl Ives was from my area... very local, as in just a few miles. He was from a small burge on Route 49 called Hunt City. He is buried in a cemetery less than 10 miles from my house. My great grandma knew him. (But not very well, he was much older than she.) She was actually good friends with his sister, and spent quite a bit of time with the family. She said he was a bum, lol. During the depression, that was a bad thing. He made it to California by hopping trains. She never could get over that he made it big. She said here at home, he was just a worthless bum that wouldn't work! LOL.

bllwnkl 07-28-2018 01:33 PM

Very interesting, thanks for sharing that. Burl sure made a name for himself. I wonder if he died a "bum"?

I do not believe he did. He never came back after here after he left. Not that I am aware of. Until his death, that is.
