Favorite Cub everyone
3 Attachment(s)
Here is a couple pics of my favorite cub and my new to me 71 with a 10hp in her.Decals on the side of the hood are taped off. Going to try and put a quick rattle can job on the hood without ruining the decals. Made a couple laps around the yard with it, have a few bugs to work out. Carb needs to be cleaned and a kit put in it and a set of points and I think she will run like a swiss watch. Pay no attention to the off brand wheel weights on the 124. Had fun pulling a 12in plow at Danville plow day this year. Ended up trading the 12in plow for a 10in. A little less effort to lift without hydraulics. Lets see your favorite tractor.

Nice cubs! Here's my all time favorite Cub Cadet!

Sweet 100 ACecil That is going to be my next cub either a 70 or a 100. Don't see too many of them for sale in Central N.Y. Saw one at a auction but went out of my price range in a hurry. The wiring throttle and choke cables were a cobbled up mess and still sold for over $400.

Nice to meet you! Here is my favorite cub as of the moment, a 71. I also have a nice 72 work in progress, and a beat-up 123 that will one day be a tiller tractor.:American Flag 1:

I love those meats on the back of your 100! What size and brand are they? Diz Jr. Your 149 is truly a tractor for all seasons, it looks like you use it just as it's designers intended it to be used. If I could someday own a 149 as nice as yours... I could die a happy man! |
If I had to pick one, I say a Farmall Cub. But of the ones I own, my 123:

Great looking cubs!
My favorite has to be my 682. You can't beat how smooth, quiet and that kohler twin power :biggrin2.gif: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...2/101_0299.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...2/101_0345.jpg |

For me it's my 1282. Simply because it's been in my family since new. Then my "O" and that's because I restored it.

Great looking cubs, guys! I'm really enjoying all the pics!

idk why someone never thought of this thread before. as of now my favorite tractor is my 1650 but it will probably switch to my 169. heres some pics of the 1650 with the rake on it
|
Really nice pics guys. I think my 124 is the all time favorite just because I started with a pile of misc. parts and come up with a nice little machine. I guess they are all my favorites for one reason or another. The 1641 is my snowblowing machine, the 125 is the lawn mowing machine, the 124 is my plow day machine and the 71,102 and 122 haven't been giving any real jobs to do other than hauling the grandson and I on our journeys in the woods.
|
I would post a pic of my 1450, but, its in about 152&1/2 pieces, so it wont be posted until its back togather sometime in 2057 i hope.:biggrin2.gif:

Any IH built Cub Cadet. I also love the 782D as I used one on the dairy farm I worked on.

My Favorite 127
this is my favorite Cub... Well its my only Cub so it has to be my Fav !!! Its a 1969 127 that I bought from the Original Owners Son. I have the books, and a bunch of service records. It did not run due to the fact that the wires were mostly snapped from dry rotting. I bought the Tractor, 48" Deck and #2 Steel Trailor. It has a spring assist, right angle gear box, and orig 23 x 10.5 tires on the back. My buddy got it started that day i got it and I should have it back Friday with new harness all ready to go. Enjoy the pics.

My 1200

I for sure have yellow fever. When driving the roads, I'm looking. When on the computer, I'm looking.... Prior to my 1200, I passed on a 109 that came with a tiller, dozer blade, deck, disc and cultivator. Now all the attachments weren't great but he wanted $700 and I would only go $650....My loss. But I got my 1200 for $50...

That's a sharp 1200, Lee! :beerchug:

Nice cubs, you have there!

Thanks ACecil !

Only have one. So, no problem picking a favorite. I bought my 125 in April on my wife's birthday. Came with deck, blade, snow thrower, and a sweeper. My favorite attachment is the blade.

Here's my 2 favorites, the O' being #1 and the 71 coming a close second:buttrock:

Favorite is the one that drew me in and also has sentimental value as it was given to me by a friend that passed away, my 1862.
http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...tractor006.jpg A close second is my 982 and tiller http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...ors/004-12.jpg Here they are together http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...ors/005-14.jpg I also really like the 70/100 series. This was the first one, sold it right after I finished it. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q.../usopen002.jpg The second I picked up shortly after finishing the first. It's a work in progress. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...tractor058.jpg |
There are lots of fine looking cubs here!!! Toyman, I hear you on the sentimental value to the cubs....I got my dad's 123 and those are the ones that really imprint on you. Seems like each model has its own unique attributes that catch our eye. And speaking of that.......Diz Jr.'s background scenery behind his 149 in its plow clothes caught my eye!!! If my backyard had that view, I'd be on my cub 24/7!!
Cub Cadet 123 |
Awesome looking cubs, guys! :beerchug:
