This and a bunch udder stuff came home today.
Model 100 serial # 100242. Needs some help in the engine dept. but it is all there. No ww, battery box was small, PO made it bigger. Pics cause it is what it is. |
Nice Lew. Looks like it was once the original cyclops prototype with that light bracket. :biggrin2: The HH is producing some good scores congrats.
|
Hey Uncle Lewy!! Looks to be in overall good shape in the paint dept, hood is in good shape, etc.. The zig zag treads on the back look like it hasn't been used that much. Glad you scored it!!

I will get some pics of under the hood in the latter part of Monday. |
Nice Lew!! Unusual to see the wide front tires with the narrow rears?:bigthink:
|
They are not matched either, one has the air thingy on the outside, and the other is on the inside.
|
Nice score Lew!
What's "HH"? I must be missing it.... |
Congrats on the 100 Lew.:beerchug:
|
Good score Lew. To me that one looks almost new!
Nice to see the PO gently installed the light bracket rather than sawalled a raggedy mess for you! Do you deliver?:biggrin2: |

For a split second there, I thought those were pictures of my former 100 :biggrin2:
Nice find! |
Looks good!

I may just sand the bore with my home made hone and stick a head gasket on it, it will prolly run fine. |
Eeeeeeewww. Yuk!
Well... at least it isn't stuck, right? :RollEyes2: |
Think you'll be ok, I still see some cross hatching.:beerchug:
|
No it is not stuck, the maul took care of that. It has been in the shop as I see the letter B for i.d. purposes.
|
Lew that is a beauuuty! You and Tim are winning the most sexy tractor award so far!:biggrin2:
|
I think you'll need a new head gasket though...:bigthink: I read somewhere that you can make gaskets out of cereal boxes.
|

Well I hear their made in the China, no junk stuff on my engine, I have a NOS Bruce Jenner Wheaties box and I will use that, this way when I put it on, the gasket it will go both ways. |

True story: Had a piston air compressor in the shop blow the head gasket one time. Air in a shop is a must. Had to get it back up. Really old compressor, and a gasket wasn't going to be an easy thing to get quick. Made a cereal box gasket and put it back together. Now, that compressor became the back up about a year later. I still have it, and it still has that gasket. But, I don't use it. It just sits. On an engine, a gasket like that wouldn't last long though, lol. |

While you got the head off you should put the piston at TDC and set the timing. You got a dial indicator? I think there's a thread on here bout that...:beerchug: |
Made a lot of cereal box (we will call them 12 pack cereal box gaskets :biggrin2:) over the years, they’re good for making templates to trace on to sheet metal too. :beerchug:
LP looks like it’s had a dirt dinner for a while :bigthink: |
I do not know it 's demise, but it does have oil in it.
|
Good score Lew. More inventory for Lew's CubLand.

I went back today to the HH and picked up a 126, turns over by hand, tank is clean, clutch is not seized, oil is in it and clean. It may start as the battery is from 2006....
I took some pics of other ones lying around. The dual stick 1650 was flooded up to the roof of the cab and so was the 129 during hurricane Irene. The 127 has old gas in it. it turns over by hand but the wiring is pretty bad. Barn stuff is what it is. Last pictures are the 126 |
Still on a trailer and everything! I'd still take them and see what I could save.... if you're getting your normal deal.
What is the thing in the 5th picture? Can't figure it out....:bigthink: |
Looks to me like a giant gear reduction.
I’m going to guess pipe threader? Thanks for the pics LP. Nice rare bird you got there. I’m still optimistic that one of these visits to the HH will have you stumbling on something amazing like a 9 speed or a reverser or something. Wishful thinking I guess. |

those trailers are not going anywhere with no bed, all rusted out after hurricane floyd in 1999 then again by Irene 2011. Alvy, HH2 is coming soon... |
I didn't mean the trailers Lew. The tractors! You could salvage the cab at least! Lots of other parts for you to sell!
|
The cab is all rotted out on the bottom, otherwise it would be home.
Besides, the HH2 has more that are accessible. |
Lew, that'll buff right out!!
You choosy northerners.... :biggrin2: |

More stuff came home today, a 127 with a EZ rake on the back. 42" deck. I had to bring some good tires for the fronts as the were flat on the bottom. I do have the grill and it bit me. This may run...
The snow blower is a C32 for the RER 60,75,85, and others, it is NOS but sat outside for a few years. I saw the rest of the mounting parts for it but ran out of time. |
Not too shabby! Never saw a blower for a RER. Interesting...:bigthink:
Congrats Lew!:beerchug: |

I was able to get both of these running, the 127 was a donor for others, but the 126 is staying together.
I ended up putting a wire harness from a 102 in it with a little mod. pics |
Very nice going. Looks pretty darned good too!
|
What’s the little mod? Because of the amp gauge?
|
Yes Boss,
It even ran without the V/R hooked up howcum? More HH to come on Saturday.... |
