Every time it is the same thing year after year, it's his, hers, theirs, my cat, dog, cars, uh oh's birthday, I get tired of it, when will it end ?
You do know 1 million other people in the world share the same birth date as you Jon, so HBD!... |
Thanks guys!
Hung out with my kids all day. I took them to Rural King to buy me a few birthday presents. They got tired of my indecisiveness, so I finally picked a few things I wanted and we left, lol. Just some small tools I wanted. Then went back home, fixed a blown power steering return line on my buddies van and played with "another brand" of garden tractor I picked up a week ago that I want to get running. Looks like lasagna (my FAVORITE!!) for supper, and the kids want to watch a movie. My daughters turn to pick the movie, so I'm sure me and my boy will muddle through it, lol. Happy birthday to everyone else who's birthday it is! :beerchug: |

Happy birthday Jon. Sounds almost exactly like every birthday of mine for the most part. Staring at stuff in rural king for way too long but keeping the kids occupied just enough with popcorn and looking at the chickens, then working on something for someone or myself just because, well, that’s what we do. Well, I own a lot of old junk that requires a lot of work so maybe that’s why :biggrin2:

Thanks again to all you guys! :beerchug:
Alvy: Yeah.... I don't take them out "shopping" much with me. Every time I take them to the parts store, they disappear and then either knock stuff off, or keep bringing me things either they want, or they think I need! "No guys, I do not "need" a pink fuzzy dice!", LOL. Seems I always have a project Mike. The truck I just bought earlier this year.... the one I am just in love with that had a fairly new GM transmission in it... yeah. The transmission went out. Does GM care?? Will they even help me find out how old it is?? Who they sold it to, or if it was dealer installed?? F*** NO! They only care if I have a receipt for the purchase of it. (I told them UP FRONT I didn't buy it.) I know better. I've installed GM transmissions before. I filled out the card and sent it back to them with the VIN, mileage and name of the person who owned the vehicle. They DO have a record of it, they just don't want to warranty it. So.... I've got that big 4L80E out and getting ready to tear it down. Oh well. Rebuilt lots of GM tranny's so, NBD. That's what you get for driving old stuff. Not junk, mind you now. Just old. I bought EXACTLY what I wanted! :beerchug: Todd: Yes, the 982..... I've got it in my crosshairs. Trying to figure out what I want to do with it though. Pretty sure the Onan is shot. I have a few other options for repower that you guys would really like.... but may take the Onan out and have a look. Get my truck back together first. :biggrin2: |
Happy Birthday Old Tymer!! :beerchug:
Sounds like you have more than enough to stay busy as usual! |
Have a great birthday celebration! You are only this age once. :beer2:
|
Happy bday partner! Hope to see you soon
|
hope you had a good one, your birthdays sound a lot like mine, though I only have 1 kid, and he's 24.... got a late B-day present from him last week as he just closed on his 1st house, so that means I get some of my garage space back.... at least now I have a little bit of wiggle room to move around within....

Ryan, Beth, Randy and Don,
Thank you! Randy, next time I'm out your way, I will visit and we can catch up! :beerchug: |
I'm 5 days to late! That's a new record for me but it is not necessarily a good one...:Duh:
Happy very late birthday Jon. Life is like driving a car, if you look in your mirrors you see were you came from, if your drive too fast you mist lot of good things, if you only look straight ahead and reach the end of that road you end up with a empty gas tank and nothing good to be remember for. I wish you don't push the pedal to the floor and try to enjoy your ride a little more. :beerchug: |
Happy Birthday Jonathon. And thanks for all the help you give us on the site.
