Hello to all Cubcateers,

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone on this thread. My name is Jeff and, like many, have had a love for tractors for many years. I have had many Simplicity garden tractors over the years mainly the 3416H varietiy; however, never had a Cub Cadet. My Grand Father had a 109??? that I used to mow his property many years ago that brought back many fond memories.

Recently, I was at our local Kubota dealer and stumbled upon a Cub Cadet 1650 with a blown Kohler engine; imagine that. However, I made a deal with the salesman/owner to purchase the tractor with them installing a "new" engine. The sales man said they had a brand-new Kohler 12 hp that he would sell me for $500.00 installed with the entire tractor costing $750 in good working order. I jumped on that deal and wanted to show everyone my first Cub Cadet tractor. I suspect that the installation of the 12hp engine officially makes it a Cub 1250. The older technician said that this engine would be better for lower engine vibrations. Anyway, I bought it.

I presently have a Kubota B7510 HST tractor with a loader, rake, box blade, brush hog and a PTO chipper and wanted something smaller to mow around the house instead of a push mower.

I find this websight most helpful and enjoy how everyone shares a common interest; tractors. It's nice to see how everyone helps and assists in the questions asked, and information supplied in individual's needs in their time of frustration.

I will get pictures when I resize them properly.

I look forward to interaction with all.

Regards,

Jeff

Wild Bill,
Thanks for the advice regarding the owner's and service manuals. Although, I have them in PDF format, there's nothing like having a paper version for when you're in the shop.

Thanks again and best regards,

Jeff
