582 rear hitch adapter plate pics & info
I'm hoping someone has the Cub Cadet 380 Sleeve Hitch on their 582. I am in need of pictures of the adapter plate and also measurements so I can get Xtreme Motor Works to make one.
https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-.../sleeve-hitch/ Thanks for any help. |

I've seen that part. I am familiar with it.... I've never seen it listed to fit anything other than an 1100 or 582S. Can you verify it somehow? Sorry to be skeptical, but I'm not convinced yet. |
Here is an example, and one for sale.
https://www.ihccw.com/sleevehitch.html?product_id=11632 I've bought from IHCCW many times. Guy knows his stuff. He has this part listed to only fit the 1100, 482 and 582S. I'm pretty confident about my position...... That part is designed to bolt to the Peerless rear end. EDITED NOTE: It would also fit the 1604. |
Caw,Caw ,Caw!
I am going by the parts book. It list that part as being part of the kit. Before I sold it I dry fitted it on a 1211, no problem hitting the trans. |
Here you go:
http://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/AR...0-A/0027200028 Look at the description on callout #8. It is the bracket in question in this thread. In the description, it states "582 SPECIAL ONLY". How do you like your crow cooked Lew? |

Did you see this, he lied. |

I just went out and looked at my 1100 and a 1710 that are next to each other. I just don't see it working. Besides.... if it does fit, why didn't they sell a blue million of them? Guys always want a sleeve hitch on an aluminum rear. I would have thought they would be as common as sleeve hitches are to find. Guys trading up and wanting to use the equipment they already have. Plus, if it fits, why is it listed to only fit a tractor with a Peerless rear? I researched this to the hilt before I built my own adapter....... :Unknown::Unknown::Unknown::Unknown: |
A 1606 is not a peerless. CAW!CAW!CAW!
I guess those folks at CCC made the decision to no longer to supprt the old attachments. |
No, but a 1604 is, and they use the same parts look up. What's your point?
|
John, you should buy the one you posted, if it don't fit you can put it on the 1100 you have.
In the book it list the 1606 using that bracket. |
Thanks for trying to help guys! No way this will fit my CCC 582. I don't haave bolts where the plate has holes.

I got the 1100 in a package deal. Someone put a Techumseh engine in it. The T motor had a PTO on it similar to a CC PTO and it had brackets welded to the frame and a bunch of crappy brackets running up to the dash tower. Dash tower was broken and the rear end didn't have mounting bolts holding it in. Fenders are beat up and the hood got tossed in the scrap pile as it was too beat up to salvage. Also, they had taken the original tires off and put old donut spare tires in their place, then welded them to the hub. :bash2::bash2::bash2: I only took it because it came in the deal and there were a few good parts to salvage off of it. Not many...... but ones I wanted! I need to strip it the rest of the way down and sell the rear. Someone needs it more than I do! I'd say the book that lists it fitting a 1606 is a print error. Not just because it fits my position.....:BlahBlah: but because that bracket is listed all over to fit the 1100,482, and 582 Special. The 1604 is the same tractor. It will fit a 1604. |
