I pick up a few items at an estate sale today, missed out on the 100.00 cubs a 102 and a 108 due to traffic on I 80 and I was late, only wheel weights and I found a part for the rear rake I have. I have lots of sales brochures for Cub Cadet and others manufactures.
Picked up some old jersey road maps, no GSP on these and I 80 is not complete.

Neat! I like the round white paperweight.

Very nice Lew! Does this mean you have to start a new stack of weights!?

Dirty Steve 09-09-2017 12:45 PM

Too bad on the tractors. Some good odds and ends though!:beerchug:

Love it Lew! The "More Power To You" is awesome! I love that 125 Series, with the new chrome plated spoke steering wheel, and a chrome plated implement lift with "new" float lock, and the new quick attach system,...... how cool was that!

Nice finds.

olds45512 09-10-2017 09:59 AM

Does the one in the third pic on the left have the 1211 in it?

Of course it does not.
But it has a nice picture of a 1914 in it.

I almost got a 1914 last year but the guy selling it was planning to keep the dual hydraulics and still wanted top buck for it.

Once again, Lew finds great stuff for little monies.

As always, nice finds! :beerchug:

Yes they were giving the stuff away.

This came home too for 40.00.
Looks like a Wheel Horse RJ58 with some p.o. mods, these did not come with electric starters. Not sure if it is a 6 or 12 volt starter, as I see no label on it.
You pull up on the short handle to tighten the belt then it hits a switch to engage the starter. There is no charging system.

Looks like a home made blade also.

It turns over by hand, gas tank is clean, so it should take much to get the ol' Kohler running.

olds45512 09-10-2017 12:33 PM

Most starters will handle both 6 and 12v, you wont hurt it.

darkminion_17 09-10-2017 12:36 PM

Tim, It is a starter generator. I forgot to mention that.

zippy1 09-11-2017 12:28 AM

$40 dolla, you paid $40 for that? They have a name for that. But I'll pass, and just say you got SUPER Lew deal...:beerchug:

Kind of.... You can give a starter more volts than it's "rated" for. But it will get hot a lot faster. You can burn them up. Just can't crank on them as long when you double the voltage... but you can use double the volts on them. You can give a 12V starter 24V too. Again... just can't crank very long on it.

S/G: I suppose the starter side would work, but it won't generate ~12V if it's a ~6V.

The WH is the wrong color isn't it... should be red. :bigthink:

darkminion_17 09-12-2017 06:56 PM

I worked on getting this to run, cleaned the carburetor, and worked on the sticky governor.
Got it to run , no smoke, but I need to work on the sticky governor and throttle cable.

Here is a vid .
