New Old Car

Added another Z-28 to my Camaro herd. This is a nice original 4 speed car. It is a 74 and they are getting hard to find in good condition.

Nice Camaro, any wheelies?

ambrola 09-02-2017 02:58 PM

Thanks guys. I only have one more. It's a real 69 Z-28 with matching numbers all the way. Have a lot of the paperwork on it also. It's currently in the shop getting a new paint job. It's a real #72 color hugger orange with houndstooth interior. I've owned this one since the 80's. But, I don't have any pictures yet that I would show, wait until it's home and finished. :biggrin2: Here is one like it except the wheels.

Neat! I like old transportation vehicles (trains, tractors, bikes etc) and one of my good friends is into cars so I've been taking more of an interest in them as of late. Thanks for sharing.

Lol, I just pulled that picture off the web, as my car is in the body shop getting a fresh paint job. It has it's original Rally Wheels on it. But as the one pictured, it does have the deluxe hounds tooth interior and it's a real hugger orange car. My all time favorite color on these old Camaros. This car even has the cross ram manifold and carbs with it. Really special to me. I know a whole lot more about the 69 Z's than I do about my Cubs.:biggrin2::beer2::biggrin2:

Hard to do wheelies with a 327 Lew. The only thing I can hope for is to do a burn out and squeal between the gears. But I just can't make myself treat them like that. I have a small fortune in that 67 because it was in pretty bad shape when I bought it back in 2007. The guys at my restoration shop loved me on that one. :beerchug:

I had a nice '66 Chevy fleetside truck with 6'bed and a 327 with four speed. Was a great small block engine!

A built 383 vortec would make your nice car rock!

olds45512 09-06-2017 11:25 AM

If it won't wheelie then we need some donuts, I know it will do donuts cuz my buddy use to have one.:biggrin2:

johncub7172 09-07-2017 12:18 AM

How about just putting on a set of donuts? Just as much fun, maybe more :biggrin2: Some of the 69 Z's came with a 302 also.
