This was an estate find, a one owner plain Jane 108.
Kept in the garage when not in use. It is turn key, but needs very little TLC. Runs great with no smoke or knocks. First time I seen that type 42" deck with wheels. These brackets are longer than the others to clear the runners. It shows it in the manual I got with it. Got a give it a bath.:biggrin2: Nice dash!:biggrin2: Ugly seat.:bash2::biggrin2: Guy had a problem backing up as seen in the one picture.:biggrin2: Pics |
That's a very nice survivor! Seems like all the machines out there have fenders that are banged up. So are the deck wheels an add-on option or were they original to the deck? If they're original, I wonder why they don't show up in the parts breakdown.

Lance,
I do not see it either. But they are not homemade. I cut some grass with it, the deck is very quiet, it has the water pump style bearings on it. I notice the heat shield still has the factory markings from the assembly line. |
That dash tin looks amazing for its age. This is one of those that would be interesting to see the hour meter had it had one from the factory.

Nice green stripe wide frame Lew!

That's a nice looking tractor. Congrats :beerchug:

Nice find Lew! Sweet little WF. Is it a flip or a keeper?
|
Looks like you found a well cared for one despite a few bruises to the back which is no big deal, those deck wheels look factory to me as my 73 has the exact same wheels on back of deck only difference is mine are located on the inside of the back tires.
Nice Find how much?$$$ Thanks |
Thanks guys, I will keep you posted on any changes.

I have so same gauge wheels and brackets on my 42". nice find

I did a little work yesterday on the 108,gave it a bath, then I changed the clutch disc and the teaser spring which was broken.
I think I could still get a little juice out of this disc even though the holes are a little wollowed out. Maybe just drill some new holes in it Hehe hehe hehe. I am still looking for a plug for the dash. pics..... |
Cleaned up pretty good Lew! :beerchug:

It wasn't very dirty, just dusty. I removed the fender pan and straightened it best I can. I am sure Tim can do it better. |
Nice find. Sweet old GT.

They have those plugs in various sizes at Lowes in the hardware section.

Thanks for the info though. |
Or what about installing the correct accessorie that goes in the dash instead of the plug.

Guess it depends on if he smokes then.
Plus you could use cigarette lighter plug for 12 volt accessories like a air compressor for the tires ect. |
The only smoke he gets these days are smokin deals :biggrin2:
