Odd source for category 0 ball sockets
 

Last time I posted a link to a good deal, things didn't work out. I never learn. Hopefully this one goes better. If you are looking for category 0 weld-on ball sockets read the rest.

Been collecting steel to build two 3 pt Hib tches. One for my 1711 and another for my 782. Been looking for a good price on the weld on ball sockets. Most prices were running $8-12 each. Building two hitches meant I needed 12 sockets so any savings adds up quickly. Online searches found a strange source of these weld-on ball sockets at $2.80 each. I ordered 18 of them and they arrived today. Not sure how long they will carry them.

For $2.80, they can't be worth a sheet.....

Oh now Jon. If they get used as much as I've used mine since installation, they'll last a REAL long time...:biggrin2: Just haven't had anything to do with it lately.:bigthink: Sounds like a personal problem...:bigeyes:

Wally World is carrying a lot of odd stuff lately. They are trying to compete with Amazon.

I ordered 18 also.

We were computer shopping for the kid, they sell new, not refurbished, surface pro's. Never thought they were in the $1K computer sales.

I'm in the material handling biz and they recently opened (2) 1 million square foot each buildings here in Davenport that are specifically for the .com business only with a conveniently placed fed ex hub right in the middle of them. They're trying for sure to compete with the big A.

I got my ball sockets today, they come from a company in Colorado.
I did not see any Chinese characters on it, or the bags.
Looks like they will last a long time.
I only needed 8 and I have 18 so if anyone needs any let me know.

Pretty sure of Lou and Walmart were in cahoots with one another. "Here you go Lou, take a bunch of these post the price on the Only Cub Cadet forum and then we'll jack it up then split it 50/50". (Insert evil laugh)

What on earth did you need 8 weld on ball sockets for anyway Lew? I didn't think you had any tractors with 3pt on them...... :bigthink:

The same reason I have a 18 seat collection, or 22 sets of wheel weights, or....

Fair enough..... but Cat 0 ball sockets doesn't fit the profile if you don't have tractors with 3pt that need fixed, or you might want to fix. Especially not for a guy who I've never seen weld anything. Do you even have a welder? Only thing that would make sense was if you intended to sell them.

I have a cat 0 on the 1512, it needs one ball on each arm as they are seized up from that Florida air.
My friend in Hainesville is a machinist and a welder so no issues there.
But I will sell some balls.
