Looks okay to me.

Other than the price I don't see anything wrong, I would expect it to be in much better condition for that kind of money.

I have seen that seller sell quite a few pieces over the past year or so....

The serial tag says Cub Cadet--not IH. And it was put on with screws, not pop-rivets. That's 2 red flags for me. Also looks like one of the belt covers has a stress crack. NOS:bigthink:

Some ppl don't know the difference between NOS and POS :biggrin2:
It's a nice, little used deck in my book, ----nos? I don't think so.

That's the thing that caught my eye. Everything looks correct except that. I even Googled that model number with no results.

Also, that looks like a model 383 deck, and if it is, it shouldn't have the shroud around the blades. That shroud is welded on, but they came bolted on from the factory. Unless something changed I'm not aware of.... I've seen my fair share of these triangle decks and none are like this one.

That is because it is a 357.
Seen 2 of those new in the box, I do remember the tags being screwed on.
I may even have one here, but not new.

I'm glad you follow up Lew. I read through this the other day, and that model number tripped something in my brain.... I thought it may be the newer deck, but hadn't had time to look. :beerchug:


It would fit or come on an '82 series through the early Cyclops. :beerchug:

No. Next available size was the 44C and 50C until they came out with the GT decks.

I was gonna say it looks almost identical to the 38" deck on my 1288. Still to rich for my blood!
