Yea when I was a kid my dad had a old Sears tractor that I loved and when it blew up and he sold it and bought a new age lawn mower I was sad ... So now that I just bought my house getting a real piece of Americana iron was a top priority for me ... I love this damn thing I find my self coming home from work and finding reason to start it up and ride it lol

Congrats on both- the house and the 127. The 1X6/7 series are my favorite.

1x6/7 is referring to a series. tractors in the 6/7 series are 107, 127, 147, 106 and the rare 126. when someone says 1x6/7 it just for reference to that series and style of tractor.

It's the series you have. You have the 10 horse hydro, they made that series with a 7, 10,12, and 14 horse engine with variations of hydro and gear drive.

Edit: what Tim said a minute before me

Well small amount of verbal abuse to you for forgetting to tell this young man about the best one of that series, the 73. And to answer your next question, yes, mine does pop a wheelie :biggrin2:

Just realized I posted the manual link a minute before Beth did so I guess we are all even.

i left the 73 off the list because it doesn't truly fit into the 1x6/7 series when people use it to reference the style of tractor.

Reread the manual....The 42A means it is 42" and is A=Adjustable for narrow or wide frames. You have an "A" setting and a "B" setting..."A" is for your tractor....a narrow frame...ser 400,000 and BELOW. :beerchug:

zippy1 06-05-2017 11:49 PM

Well I'm going to let the girl, and two boys play.:bigthink:
OP, congrats on your first real garden tractor. You stepped up, and that's good. You will find a wealth of knowledge here on Only Cub Cadets. (And some hijinks as well) Welcome to the "madness". Enjoy!:beerchug:
