Bought another....
1 Attachment(s)
While I love Cub Cadets my old lady doesn't... but despite that I pulled another one home today. Can anyone guess what it is? Don't mind the ugly lights the PO wired up, they will be coming off. I'll have more pictures shortly.
Not sure why the picture is coming up sideways no matter how I rotate it on my phone:bash2: |
Not sure but I can tell it's not a 1050.
|
Maybe a 125? Them seem to be popular.

Didn't have time to take pictures, but it's a 107. Bought it from an original owner for a price I couldn't pass up. I'm sure I'll have some questions about it being my first hydro.

Congrats on the 107!:beerchug:

Awesome! I just brought one home today too. Yellow fever sucks. Lol

started out with Sears suburbans, always wanted a Cub and/or a Wheel horse.... could never touch one it seemed even though the Chicago factory is only like an hour from me..... just missed out on one with a loader about 4-5 years ago, tractor was kinda clapped out and I had actually passed on it, think it was a 127.... I thought about it and went back just to see a buddy of mine loading it up.... if I would have realized the worth of the loader setup I would not have hesitated.... I have a cousin who maintained 2 acres with a 127 back when I was a kid and I got to run that one whenever I went by there.... I had a neighbor while I was growing up that had a 1x8/1x9 not sure which model (hey I was just a kid) but he had that machine for what seemed like forever and always kept it looking like brand new.... but "he" never worked on it, always had the stealership come and get it, for the simplest of problems. While I certainly don't need a tractor, my yard is actually too small for one, I just love playing with them.... About 4 years ago I had no tractor and happened upon an Ariens for a tooo good to pass up kind of price. I'd had one briefly a few years before that but was too far "gone" to be worth bringing back.... good parts unit was about all it was but I do wish I still had the 3 point and tiller from that one that I passed along. I now have an Ariens GT19, an S16H, a Sperry New Holland S14H (the very tractor that became the Ariens GT lineup), a Cub 1200, a Cub 129, plus most of another 129 "roller" for parts and a 1650 "roller".... I have decks for all, a plow blade for the Ariens/NH and a snow blower for the Cubs (QA42A)/ and lately Cub attachments are starting to slowly ooze out of the woodwork, unlike what I can say about Ariens products/// when they are found, you gotta pay a kings ransom, "all or nothing" when it comes to attachments and you gotta take another tractor to get the attachments you want. so finally I can have my Cubs.... when all is said and done, I think the Ariens are going away, since stuff is so hard to find for them. (as an aside though when it comes to baseball, I have always hated the Cubs --white sox fan here/ ha ha ha) |
I was gonna guess a 1X6/7 series.
Congrats. Hydros are awesome. |

Moral of the story..... A little white lie never hurts as long as it concerns Cub Cadets! |

Congrats on the new 107, got pics?

Nice add-on! My wife wanted me to find a safer way to till her garden a couple years back (we had been using my father's Troy-bilt Horse which has had a rough life fron the get-go (delivery man dropped it off the back of the truck on delivery!) and had a gas leak that finally resulted in fire where you don't want it. We extinguished it before anyone was harmed, but that was enough for my wife to OK the tiller hunt. Found a 125 half an hour away with the tiller, a plow, a 48" deck, and a 36" blower. The owner wanted 400 for everything. I told him I had 250 on me right now, and he said SOLD! Best deal I've ever made, and the wife was happy too! And the tilling experience is a vast improvement.

I have a few other Indak keys around here but none seem to go into the 107 ignition. Any thoughts? |

It's hard to tell what the PO has in there. You can watch eBay and see if you can find a whole ignition with a key. I see a few on there from time to time.
|
I've had several old cubs that the ignition was wore enough that the tractor could be started with a small flat head screwdriver, stick the screwdriver in and try turning it but don't force it.

Finally made it around to getting pictures of the 107.... first order of business will be finding out why it bogs down when you are mowing. You can engage the PTO fine while sitting still and all is well. The second you start moving and a real load is applied the tractor begins to bog down. New key was ordered so should be here soon...

Your wiring schematic may give you the information for what circuits are opened or closed in any of the key positions. STENS carries a wide range of switches and keys that all have the INDAK stampings on them. The photos may, or may not simply be the photo of a standard and may, or may not be actual INDAK switches/keys. I haven't had to order from them. Indak informed me that they do not sell to individuals and only to original manufacturer's. Indah's web site has a listing of all the switches they made and/or make. If your switch is an original then ebay switch should work. If the PO swapped the switch to an unknown model, then you might need to find a complete switch and key. Hope this is of assistance. |
