7 HP Aquisition

11 Attachment(s)
Here is my latest addition to the collection. A group of 7 hp tractors: (2.5) Originals, 70, 71, and a 73. Came with 4 CC engines (plus one non-CC), Danco snow thrower, hydraulic lift, several timed decks, and countless other accessories. The pictures show most of what I got. Plus, the O with the deck mounted is a 4 digit: #2456. Some of the pictures are sideways and I can't upright them...

Looks like you will be busy for a while. :beerchug:

cubcadet 04-03-2017 08:20 PM

Congrats on the haul!

darkminion_17 04-03-2017 08:30 PM

I see some nice projects ahead of you.
Your brother must be drooling seeing those, but he drools anyway hehehehe

dodge trucker 04-03-2017 10:03 PM

Any to part out or all fixers? What part of Illinois?

ACecil 04-03-2017 10:42 PM

Cool fleet of cubs!

Masmith 04-03-2017 10:48 PM

I'm still looking for an Original three point if you have one to spare. :bigthink:

Yeah, he is a drooler. He also licks windows...but shhh, don't tell. I took his one and only narrow frame (125), so he doesn't have any use for this stuff. :biggrin2:

I'm going to keep the 73 and 4-digit O for sure. I'll take the accessories I want then possibly sell the basic tractors I don't keep.

Most excellent Lance.:beerchug:
So what did the "brother" think?:bigthink: :biggrin2:

mhasewinkle 04-04-2017 03:00 AM

Nice score! :beerchug:

J-Mech 04-04-2017 03:10 AM

The "drooling window licker" thinks well of this haul. :biggrin2:

He's been thinking about this purchase for a while. We "ran the numbers" last week and agreed it was a good deal. Buying out a whole collection like that is a good way to get a deal. Sure, it's chunk of change at once, but if you had to buy all that stuff a piece at a time, it would have been half again more....

Better get the shed finished up Lance!! You need the room! :beerchug:

I see wheel weights...... I didn't know any of them had wheel weights.:bigthink:

I didn't either. It was a nice surprise when we pulled that one out of the shed. Though that machine is the one that gave us the most problems getting it on the trailer.

I would of had to make 3 trips to get everything, since my trailer was so small, but the guy loaded his trailer and followed me to the house.:beerchug:

Dirty Steve 04-04-2017 10:28 AM

Congrats on the flock of 7 hp Cubs!:beerchug: You have parts galore now!!:beerchug::beerchug:

PaulS 04-04-2017 10:32 AM

That's cool. You were going to get them when we talked before work the other day. Call I need to :callyou:

Terry C 04-04-2017 01:52 PM

Those will keep you out of the bar for awhile. :biggrin2:
Nice haul!

CubDieselFan 04-04-2017 03:50 PM

That was a nice haul. Are you going to restore the 4 digit O?

sir_lancealot 04-04-2017 09:01 PM

Thanks everyone. Yes, this group will definitely keep me busy for awhile. I think I will keep the 4-digit original and restore it. These low ones don't come around too often, so I might as well keep it. :beerchug:

The 73 completes my 6/7 series collection. Now I'll have to go through and bring them all back to their original glory. :biggrin2:

I don't see an 86 with all the other "6" ones that you list yet....

An 86 is part of the 1X8/9 series. He collected the 1X6/7 series. The 73 was the 7hp model in that series.

What he said. The smallest tractor in each series was numbered differently than the rest of the tractors. 73 belongs to 6/7, 72 belongs to 4/5, 71 belongs to 2/3. Who knows why they did it this way. Had they stuck with the numbering, it should have been a 76.
