Picked this 3204 up yesterday, always stored in the garage. 44 in. deck.
215 hours, needs nothing and runs great. No dents, rust, tears, funny noises, or leaks.
It came with a 3 bin bagger, new blades, oil filters, and a replacement grill.
Nice grass killer.

Sam Mac 03-19-2017 03:06 PM

You Be Right Up Town Now. :beerchug: :biggrin2:

john hall 03-19-2017 04:45 PM

Definitely a runner, drove it on the truck.
The owner runs it with mobil 1 full synthetic.
I may use it till I miss my cutting with the 70.

:beerchug:Congrats my friend. Welcome to the 3k club. Not many come and few stay.:biggrin2:

If you keep it you need the plastic "upper air baffle" part# 731-3231A to keep from cooking the engine.....ask me how I know:bigeyes: Looks like this. You prolly have 10 NOS ones.:biggrin2:
Attachment 83013

If you can find a model 290 54" deck, I'd keep it.

darkminion_17 03-19-2017 08:34 PM

Where does that go?

Terry C 03-19-2017 08:37 PM

Hoods open too weird for me :biggrin2:
Tried one out once, nice grass killer.

Cubcrazy 03-19-2017 08:37 PM

Nice 3K Lew!:beerchug:

Above the battery. It closes off the engine bay so that it has to suck air from down around the battery. Make sure you also have the air intake boot around the drive shaft. You shouldn't be able to see the drive shaft.

Lookie like this.

darkminion_17 03-19-2017 10:21 PM

I don't have that top piece, but I do have the boot., battery is new, po prolly forgot to give that top piece to me.

Mcamp 03-20-2017 08:37 AM

Nice tractor, the top piece seems to get the latch tabs broken off on these a lot, so people toss them.

darkminion_17 03-20-2017 07:41 PM

I will order a new one, cheap insurance.

J-Mech 03-20-2017 07:57 PM

Nice tractor Lew!

You better start buying NOS stuff for the newer tractors so you'll have it when you buy them. :BlahBlah::biggrin2:

Maybe or I may have some already but it is what it is...

Sam Mac 03-21-2017 07:11 PM

Cyclops and now 3000 series, I'm worried about you Lew. :biggrin2:

darkminion_17 03-21-2017 07:14 PM

I'm okay, too bad it has no tilt steering or I would keep it.

Sam Mac 03-21-2017 07:48 PM

Good answer, Cyclops rule! OK now I'm going to put on the flame proof suit. :biggrin2:

That can be added pretty easy Lew. Give Rich Patton a call and he can hook you up.

darkminion_17 03-23-2017 08:03 PM

Thanks for the tip, but I think it may be gone this weekend...

Sam Mac 03-23-2017 08:38 PM

I'll stick to my 1864/2264 and I'll admit I screwed up when I sold the 2284 to Cadplans. :biggrin2:

ACecil 03-23-2017 09:22 PM

Nice cub, Lew!

darkminion_17 03-24-2017 10:49 AM

Well the brown truck dropped off my order from Cub Cadet.
Installed the new baffle, changed the filters and fluids and put on the bagger.
Wife likes the power steering.

Sam Mac 04-02-2017 06:45 PM

Now that is a fine looking machine my friend! Happy wife Happy life! :beerchug:

darkminion_17 04-02-2017 07:12 PM

ACecil 04-02-2017 07:13 PM

Cleaned up real nice Master of Lew. You surely do good work.:beerchug:

darkminion_17 04-16-2017 08:19 PM

Cut the grass today with the 3204, power steering is the cats underwear, foot control keeps the other hand free, not sure what to do with it. I guess that's why there is a beverage holder.
Only downside is the reverse thingy that cuts off the PTO.

There should be an override for that. There should be a yellow triangle around the ignition. If you press that the red light in that area will light up and you'll be free to mow in reverse. You'll only need to press that button again if you turn off the pto.

Oak 04-16-2017 08:39 PM

Not on the 3k machines Valley. That was introduced later around the time the GT3100/3200 came out.

Aw no Lew! Mine doesn't do that. I bet some D/A bypassed it. I guess I need to get a better look at it and put that back in place.:RTFM:

darkminion_17 04-16-2017 08:49 PM

I hope you fix it as it is very dangerous using it that way, funny you do not have to sit on the seat to start it though, as long as the brake is on it's cool.

I'm sure you can work it out................. LMFAO :biggrin2:
