6 Attachment(s)
Picked this 3204 up yesterday, always stored in the garage. 44 in. deck.
215 hours, needs nothing and runs great. No dents, rust, tears, funny noises, or leaks. It came with a 3 bin bagger, new blades, oil filters, and a replacement grill. Nice grass killer. |
You Be Right Up Town Now. :beerchug: :biggrin2:
|
Nice looking machine. You flipping it or going to put it to work chopping grass?

:beerchug:Congrats my friend. Welcome to the 3k club. Not many come and few stay.:biggrin2:
If you keep it you need the plastic "upper air baffle" part# 731-3231A to keep from cooking the engine.....ask me how I know:bigeyes: Looks like this. You prolly have 10 NOS ones.:biggrin2: Attachment 83013 If you can find a model 290 54" deck, I'd keep it. |
Where does that go?
|
Hoods open too weird for me :biggrin2:
Tried one out once, nice grass killer. |
Nice 3K Lew!:beerchug:

Above the battery. It closes off the engine bay so that it has to suck air from down around the battery. Make sure you also have the air intake boot around the drive shaft. You shouldn't be able to see the drive shaft.
Lookie like this. Attachment 83017 |
I don't have that top piece, but I do have the boot., battery is new, po prolly forgot to give that top piece to me.
|
Nice tractor, the top piece seems to get the latch tabs broken off on these a lot, so people toss them.
|
I will order a new one, cheap insurance.
|
Nice tractor Lew!
You better start buying NOS stuff for the newer tractors so you'll have it when you buy them. :BlahBlah::biggrin2: |

Cyclops and now 3000 series, I'm worried about you Lew. :biggrin2:
|
I'm okay, too bad it has no tilt steering or I would keep it.
|
Good answer, Cyclops rule! OK now I'm going to put on the flame proof suit. :biggrin2:

Thanks for the tip, but I think it may be gone this weekend...
|
I'll stick to my 1864/2264 and I'll admit I screwed up when I sold the 2284 to Cadplans. :biggrin2:
|
Nice cub, Lew!
|
Thanks Allen!

Well the brown truck dropped off my order from Cub Cadet.
Installed the new baffle, changed the filters and fluids and put on the bagger. Wife likes the power steering. |
Now that is a fine looking machine my friend! Happy wife Happy life! :beerchug:
|
Thanks Sam, it is a purdy tractor.
|
Sharp looking machine, Lew!

Thanks Steve and Allen, or is it Steve Allen ?
|
Cleaned up real nice Master of Lew. You surely do good work.:beerchug:
I know, don't call me Shirley.:biggrin2: |
Cut the grass today with the 3204, power steering is the cats underwear, foot control keeps the other hand free, not sure what to do with it. I guess that's why there is a beverage holder.
Only downside is the reverse thingy that cuts off the PTO. |

Not on the 3k machines Valley. That was introduced later around the time the GT3100/3200 came out.
Aw no Lew! Mine doesn't do that. I bet some D/A bypassed it. I guess I need to get a better look at it and put that back in place.:RTFM: |
I hope you fix it as it is very dangerous using it that way, funny you do not have to sit on the seat to start it though, as long as the brake is on it's cool.
