It's only 3 1/2 hours, people come from as far away as Canada and Georgia. It takes me 3hrs to get there and let me assure you that it's worth the ride.

Oak 01-27-2017 10:29 AM

There just may be a few of us boys from the south coming up to that. I missed it last year because of work so maybe this year I can fit it in. I don't think we are bringing any machines up but I'm sure there will be plenty extra there.

I take two and your welcome to use one if you come.

Oak 01-27-2017 11:22 AM

Thank you Tim. I would like to meet up with you and also a bunch of other OCC members if I can make it.

HydroCub149 01-28-2017 10:12 PM

WHY WHY JUST WHY I'm pretty close but usually in the middle of April I'm on the tractor planting and cant stop to go on a 2 day trip. :bash2::Swear::Explode:

cubs-n-bxrs 01-29-2017 08:19 AM

Won't be able to make it this year again. Having surgery on my foot. Hopefully next year.

drcjv 02-17-2017 08:22 AM

Anybody interested in trying to have an official OCC meet up at PA plow day either Friday night dinner or Saturday lunch. I think it would be nice to get us all in one spot to meet each other and put a face to the post we see on the forum. We could maybe go to dinner. There is a OIP (original Italian Pizza)not far away that's pretty good. Several of the car clubs I belong to do this and it always seems to work out nicely. Just an idea.

Jibber 03-09-2017 10:00 PM

Wow, only an hour from me!! Does anyone have any additional details about this event and what all will be going on exactly? Can you take stuff to sell? Do people sell stuff?

drcjv 03-10-2017 06:15 AM

You can sell stuff. Usually about 200 tractors and 100 acres plowed. Food on sight. Night plowing on Fiday night. Very well run event. I have attended the last 6 years.

olds45512 03-10-2017 09:54 AM

I have a picture of the board from last year and I think it was up to 265 or so tractors, there's plenty of ground to plow and parts for sale and nice people to talk to. If you're only an hour away I wouldn't miss it, I drive about 2 1/2 hours and people come from as far away as Georgia and Canada.

olds45512 04-06-2017 12:15 PM

I wonder if I call and ask nice if they would delay plow day for a week or two?:biggrin2:

Tim aren't you coming?

PaulS 04-06-2017 01:53 PM

Dang what a great event to go to. Eric or I do not have a tractor set up to plow but would have loved to just be there. This date and I have a real conflict I will be out of town/state on that date. Maybe Eric will get there. P.S. if he should make it just remember I am better looking than he is.

I'm planning to, it would just be nice to have a little extra time.

Rocking416 04-08-2017 07:11 PM

There is a good chance i will be there with my Cub Cadet 70 and a John Deere 110H. I take it this is the kind of event you just show up ready to plow. Square up with the registration tent and plow on. This would be my first big plow day event. I went to a small one in Virginia.

02Oneway 04-12-2017 12:10 AM

I'm planning on going. Sent in the vac day at work. This weekend going to get the camper readily. I'm hoping to be there Thursday night. Plan to have a campfire Friday night, all are welcome around it. Now if I can get my tractor done and readily to go.

Rocking416 04-12-2017 06:59 PM

I want to go. Put in for the time off have not got conformation. It will be a lot of driving plus I have to borrow a trailer from work. I am sure it will be fun. We will see. I have a Cub Cadet 70 I need to install a wiring Harness and Voltage Regulator on to. Tons or work.

Wiring harness and voltage regulator, that's it? Where's this tons of work you speak of?:biggrin2:

Rocking416 04-14-2017 05:26 PM

Its never just one thing. I always prepare for the worse. The tractor runs like a sewing machine fires right up drives good rebuilt clutch.

fbh31118 04-17-2017 06:48 AM

Wife and I should be there for the event with both our cubs. Right now we're just praying for good weather.

drcjv 04-17-2017 06:53 AM

Weather is not looking great.:crap:

I have the power to control the weather for this weekend. If I get the 100 done it will storm all weekend but if I don't get it done it will be beautiful out. So far the forecast is looking like 61° and mostly cloudy with rain late in the evening on Saturday.

Tim I think your gonna have to take one for the team and sacrifice the 100 so we have good weather. Bring one of your other Cubs that's good to go. I don't want my babies in the mud. LOL

Plus I just got new boots I can't get them dirty.

With all the time I've spent away from my family I'm fairly sure my wife would be a little upset if I didn't get it done.

drcjv 04-18-2017 08:15 AM

If your going to PA plow day and you are looking for a 3 point plow I will have this one for sale. I plan on being there Friday noonish. I know this is not the for sale section so if you are interested PM me. It has all new hardware. I used to buy 2 or 3 of these every year. Now you can't find them, none on ebay or craigslist around here. Just parts and pieces.

I'd love to have that for my 1211 but I've spent a ton of money on this 100. The weather for Saturday is looking better.

darkminion_17 04-18-2017 10:44 AM

How much are you looking to get Charles?
It would look nice behind the 1512.

drcjv 04-20-2017 10:14 AM

This plow day will be a little sad this year. A good friend and Cub guy passed a few months back. He was actually from near where plow day is held and would come over every year and have lunch and talk Cubs. I'm not sure if he was a member here. His name was Dick Moyer and he was a truly one of the best. He absolutely had the nicest tractors (mostly super ) I have ever seen. Two years ago while I was plowing the alternator on my 1572 seized up. With out even asking Dick went home and took his off his 1572 and brought it back and gave it to me so I could keep plowing. Plow day will never be the same he will be missed.

olds45512 04-21-2017 11:10 AM

I hope everybody that's still planning to attend has a great time and hopefully the weather holds out for you guys. Be sure to take lots of pics and video.

Oak 04-21-2017 04:46 PM

Well, I couldn't make it again this year.:bash2:

Whatca ridin' Lew?

sorner 04-22-2017 08:06 AM

I live only about 2 hours from this event and I was thinking about coming, maybe another year. I would be a first timer, I didn't even know these events existed, sounds like fun. Is it only cub tractors or anything with a plow? I have a Jacobsen GT10 with a sleeve hitch and brinly plow setup. The previous owner repainted the plow green to match his green tractor, I'm gonna have to fix that before I can show it in public LOL! It was in great shape and only $75 so I didn't worry about the color. Can't wait for pictures.

Oak 04-22-2017 08:43 AM

Every plow day I have been to is "bring what ya got" and have fun. Awesome group of people sharing the same interest. I had no clue on how to plow at my first one but there are people there to show you how and help with any mechanical issues. All I can say is GO, you won't regret it.

sorner 04-22-2017 09:44 AM

I can't make it this year, I have too much going on today.

darkminion_17 04-22-2017 07:17 PM
