Viking Landscape Roller Blade
Luck finally came my way. While searching the local classifieds, I cam across a Viking Landscape Roller Blade with seeder box and aerator blades. Unfortunately, no scarrifier, but a big find non the less. Now I am trying to find out exactly what type of hitch system it is for. I know it is not the standard way they hook to cubs, but could it be for a sleeve hitch? Someone has welded on some angle iron to use the pull type hitch. Does anyone have the height of the sleeve hitch to see if it will fit? I will get some better pictures in the morning. http://i63.tinypic.com/2yob8up.jpg

I may be able to help some. It is a sleeve hitch design.
Here is a view of the hitch: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...iking208-1.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s.../Vining206.jpg Scarrifier attach to Viking: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s.../Viking209.jpg Aerator system: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s.../Viking211.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s.../Viking207.jpg |
I am guessing it goes on the sleeve hitch. I have to say a big thanks to you Merk or else I wouldn't have known that the viking even attached to a Cub. I saw the picture in the classifieds and thought, that is neat, but not worth driving 4 hours round trip for until I saw yours.

You two have a really cool attachment there!!! I am glad you shared some pictures of some history of attachments for our cubs. Thanks!!!

PM me if you need any measurements. |
Actually, I am not so sure that nine doesn't attach to a Briny adapter. If you remove the ugly green bar and the two welded on angle iron pieces, it looks as if the Briny would pin right in. http://i64.tinypic.com/19ngw6.jpg

Someone modified it. It's made just like Dale's.
Congrats on the Viking! You suck. :biggrin2: |
Congrats on the Viking!

Nice find on the Viking!

The Holy Grail!!!!
Merk's Viking is famous! Google Viking Landscape Roller Blade...and his beautiful one comes up. |
Got the homemade hitch removed. It is not quite the same mount as Merks, but I am pretty sure it would mount to a Brinly adaptor. It is 3.5" from the top to bottom of the bracket, which is the same as a Brinly.
http://i64.tinypic.com/10pbu5k.jpg Merk, can you confirm that this is how your bracket for yours looks? http://i68.tinypic.com/10r2ut2.jpg |
