D600 Water pump
Does anyone have a source for a 15852-73030 water pump for a D600 that is reasonably priced? The cheapest I have found is an after-market Kumar brand pump for around $100 on fleabay. Is this a reputable brand or should I stick with genuine Kubota parts that are north of $175 or more? I checked with the vendors that support this site and didn't see anything listed. Thanks in advance! Stan

Any thoughts on the Kumar brand? $108 for genuine Kubota isn't too bad.

I have no thoughts about the Kumar one,I would just buy the bota one,it's oem bota, looks and smells like a bota too.
|
The "Kumar" one is likely just from Kumar Bros, a high volume Kubota dealer.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like that will be the one.

I bought the Kumar D600 WP this summer. The bearing seized up in middle of cutting grass. Had the new WP in two days.
The casting looked a little rougher was than the original Kubota WP but heck bearings and seal should be OK. The Kumar pump has about 60 hours on it without any problems. Last night press apart the original WP and found the pump seized because the weep hole was plugged and coolant got into the bearing. Need to now source a new bearing and WP seal. Bob G. |
Usually the seal gives up first then coolant/water leaks ever so slowly corroding the hole shut over time.
Old case of which came first, the chicken or the egg. (personally I think the rooster did) :biggrin2: |
Got one thru CARQUEST this fall
It was a Kumar brand also Shoulda went w/Ebay for less! |
Didn't Frank F3 rebuild his own?

Yes I did rebuild it. Here is a link to that thread. Maybe there could be a better way to locate the thread if it is needed....

Kumar D600 Water Pump
Well last night cutting the grass, started to hear a squeal. Cut off PTO still hearing the noise. Stop the engine and found the Kumar water pump installed last summer has seized.
I have the old water pump already to reassemble but have not been able to source the water pump bearing yet. PartsTree no longer have bearing in stock. Any other sources for water pump bearings? McMaster has a few but have not sit down to compare the dimensions. Bob G. |

Thank Oak for the two sources.
Duh.. Forgot the real Kubota part number was minus the 'KB' prefix that Cub Cadet uses. Googling the real Kubota numbers return many more sources... Placed an order with Kubuta Parts Depot' https://parts.mbtractor.com since listed items in stock. Order all four items to compare what are the differences.... [1] 15841-73050 - SEAL, ASY MECHANICAL $11.48 [1] 15841-73550 - BEARING BALL RADIAL12/26 *** $53.35 [1] 15852-73550 - BEARING BALL RADIAL12/26 $26.68 [1] 15852-73050 - SEAL,MECHANICAL ASSY $15.50 Subtotal: $107.01 At checkout, list as non- stock 3-5 days shipping. There policy says non-stock orders will be drop shipped. Will see how this goes. Have used Messick and Yacht Supply before. I the past Messick orders ship to them and then reshipped to me. Unfortunately Yacht Supply is shutdown due Irma and best wishes for them. Will post when get the parts. Thanks to everyone, Bob G. |
