My new-to-me 1812, pictured doing some work in the field.
Nice running and looking machine: over 1.3k hrs. Boy, I really missed a 3-pt and love the new disc and plow I got, too Link to a video of the radio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mGGm-LFWMo |
Very nice!! Better get some ag rears on her.:beerchug:

The plow, well --I need to do some major adjustments to it to get it even in the REALM of find a full purchase in the Earth. But, it will likely see some 26x12x12 Tru Powers and either tri-rib or V-16s in it's future. :bigthink: |
Congrats on your nice cub and attachments!
|
Good looking 1812!
|
That radio is HUGE! You should convert to a microwave to be able to make popcorn while disking!
In all seriousness, nice setup! Like the whole package including dual discs. |
Looks nice and the radio sounds good, I've often thought about adding a new radio with Sirius/XM but havent figure out how to do it neatly.
|
Very nice setup, looks good!:beerchug:

Thanks, guys.
It's one heck of a worker. I can't wait to bring her to PAPD next year!:beerchug: |
nice find on the 1812,almost looks like a super gt to me.
|
Very nice tractor! It will look even better with some rear ags. Very nice find with the 3 point too, I actually just got an 1812 the other day minus the 3 point and awesome radio you got, but is a dual stick. Again, congrats!

Very Nice!! I like the Disk Harrow and the radio to boot!!

Loved the video...not bad reception! I didn't realize that those units were so big. Amazing that you can keep the dust and dirt out of it.
Very nice 1812 rig by the way! |
Thanks, guys. Ill be getting a weight bracket from XtremeMotorWorks, suitcase weights, and hopefully some new tires soon. Miller tire is out of all the good kinds.
I put some Lucas Hydraulic Booster & Stop Leak in the trans, and its made a whole new beastie of it. It needs the controls adjusted, though. |
We used to have a radio like that on a Ford farm tractor... It always amazed me how well it worked and how well you could actually hear it.. The case on it was black but im pretty sure it was a Motorola.. pretty sure Dad bought it new from the IH dealer in the early 80's..:beerchug::beerchug:

That's a nice tractor! Congrats!:beerchug:
|
Thanks, guys!
I'm looking at 26x12x12 tires, or 23x10.5x12 for it. What do you recommend? I know the Supers were geared slightly differently to account for the larger tire size, but I like the look of a larger tire on these bigger machines. Thanks! |
I put Carlisle 23x10.50 on my 1211 and I had no issues at PA plow day, I think you will find that you will need to raise the fenders to get 26x12s under them.
|
I've never tried it but have been told that the 26X12X12's will change the overall gearing too much on a std garden tractor.
Since you will be plowing with it I'd stick with the 23X10.50X12's to keep the gearing down where it should be. I do like the looks of the big ones, but would be afraid of the trade offs:beerchug: Good luck, you have a very nice tractor with nice options!:beerchug: |

I will add it again, and use less than the recommended 10-20% of it in the system in this fall's fluid change --likely only 5% or so. I will likely put an additive in the engine oil, too. Running some SeaFoam in it now, in both the fuel and oil. |
