Rear wheel/tire combo for an O

Kicking around ideas for my O I know I want bar tires and I've seen limited pics with Os with fenders that had a deeper dish rim and a bigger bar tire. I don't want nothing to big but maybe something to fill it out more. Anyone have pics of what they have done? What other wheels work for these that would help me achieve this look? I'm open for input and ideas pics are a plus

I think this looks pretty sweet. Just wish I knew the wheel and tire size and had a couple different angles to see how it looked

That's gonna be a 23x8.50-12 tire on a 12x7 wheel.

What Cubs had a 12x7? Also these fit with no modifications to the fenders etc

Most of the cubs up to the 80s had them and yes they will bolt right on.

Dual 6's on the rear!!! Spin the inside set around to allow them to sit closer to the frame. Adds weight, looks nice and improves traction.

That pic was Geezers M&W that I put together and sold him .He changed it to magneto ign and put the chrome on.I put the Firestones on the 6.00x12 look to skinny so I put the 8.50s on it.

Are they 23x8.50? 12x7 I think a guy I know has a couple 12x7s

I was told that with that rim and tire size a timed deck wont fit?

Berwil 07-24-2016 12:26 AM

Based on the clearance between the deck wheels and the side of the rear tire, if you go with a tire wider than a 12-6, it looks like the deck wheels will hit the tires. Maybe you can swap the deck wheels or brackets left to right to gain more tire clearence, but not sure it will be enough, I have never tried.
