Cub 1250 PTO question
 

I believe the PTO clutch is bad on my 1250. The part # 759-3664 is like $500! Any way to rebuild these yourself? If so what's involved? Or is there a cheaper replacement sold by Stens or etc?

First, the correct PTO switch for the Q/L Series tractors is 925-3022

Second, the price of the switch at Cub Cadet is $33.00, not $500. If you search around, you could probably find it for less.

Third, if you want a "drop-in" replacement switch, there is no other replacement that I am aware of. IF.....you are will to do some wiring modification to the harness and connectors, then yes, some aftermarket switch could be used.

I'm talking about the actual PTO clutch on the front of the engine. They want like $500 for them. Crazy!

Aaaah ok. So to take PTO off, just remove the big bolt in the center where the pulley is? Or do I have to take off the 4 bolts with the springs on them to check out that bearing?

Download the factory service manual and the owners manuals available here I believe in the Manuals section.

Removal and adjustment of the Q/L PTO clutch is covered in detail.
Are you sure you have power to the PTO?
Are you sure you have power to the switch?
Check the fuse on the tower, left side
You may just have a broken wire or a blown fuse.
