Hey guys,
Well thanks to a very good friend of mine I was fortunate enough to acquire this VERY NICELY restored early 3 digit cub cadet original this weekend, it is a recoil start and I am just working on getting it running. It has a sleeve hitch, a nicely restored mower deck on it, and the correct nice new tires on it. It also has some NOS mower deck parts on it. I am very thankful to have it, it's at a good home now, thanks again, you know who you are, here's a pic of it right when I got it home.:beerchug:

Another pic, yes I know the mower deck guard is on wrong that is so it doesn't get damaged.:biggrin2:

Thank you Bob, it is very much appreciated, I too can't believe the condition that it is in and am very proud to own it.

WOW is putting it mildly, that is one of the nicest Original 's I have seen. Enjoy it and good luck with that score!

Is the hood bent in the front by the ornament or is it an illusion? Looks pretty good either way, congrats.:beerchug:

It is not bent so it must be an illusion, I think it looks great, thanks.

Looks good Nick, looks familiar especially with that recoil starter.
Does it have the hole for the push button on it?

No hole for the push button on it.

Man that's beautiful Nickster. I knew you were up to something. Everything looks correct, love those tires. Original Mag is money. So what's the serial?

Thanks Todd, appreciate it, out of respect to the previous owner I will not say what the serial number is right now, if he wants it known he will chime in, but don't worry it's early!:biggrin2::beerchug:

We may not get the numbers because while I was in the bottom level of a parking garage in East NY buying the 1983 Florida Orange Crop Report from a guy named Clarence Beeks, there was also a drug deal going on beside me to the left behind an old Econoline van, but to the right of everything, working in the shadows was a few guys making a Cub Cadet deal.

Seemed to be pretty top secret stuff.

It is so pretty.

Hear are some picks of Nick and his friend unpacking his latest toy after unloading it into his shop.

I hope you kept the box and skid !
They would make a great way to display it at the next show!

cubcadet 05-03-2016 07:29 AM
