I can't change my profile pic. And suggestions?

Did you try logging into your User Control Panel...???

Yes. I removed the old one, resized the new one in photoshop to meet the size requirements, then uploaded it and hit save changes. But no change took affect.

The new pic is showing in the user control panel where I made the changes, but not when I post a reply or thread

Can I use a higher resolution picture? It's kind of fuzzy. I noticed when I emailed it to you, it got quite a bit smaller.

You can send what you want as long as it meets this criteria:"The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Ok. I was going by this criteria on the user control page:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

My original pic was 99 pixels and 54kb. Guess that was my problem.

That is what it says on my User CP page, under edit the Avatar. I am sure you see the same thing.

The new image is AT those specs.

First of all, I'm not being argumentative. Don't misunderstand me. Just trying to understand what I'm doing wrong. The specs I stated are in the edit profile pic area of the user CP. Yes, the specs you stated are in the edit avatar area of the user CP. What is the difference between the avatar and a profile picture? That's where my confusion is coming into play.

Good question and I don't know the difference other than the size requirements.

I have always associated the image by your name as "avatar".

Ok, thanks. So if you click on a members name to see their profile, it's their profile pic. An avatar can be different than the profile pic for postings and replies. Makes sense now. Thanks for your patience, Roland.

OK, I found out the difference.

Profile Picture is the image when someone clicks on your Alias and sees your profile.

Avatar is the image next to your name when posting.

The Avatar & Profile Picture(s) can be the same, or two different images. Each image has their own size requirements.
