What model Cub Cadet is this?
 

New to the forum here, To make a long story short, my grandfather had past away a few years ago, and he had this International cub cadet tractor. So I bought a house last year and now I thought I could keep this tractor going and begin to use it on my own home beings all it does is sit. It has sat for 3 Years, But I have no idea of the model of this tractor. I'm trying to figure out exactly what model it is. Here are some pictures. Any help would be great

2050660 is the Factory Code for model 1450.

That tractor was made in May of 1975.

Yes, I have a 1450 also. It is one of my favorite Cubs. It is used as a work horse, year round.

Nice looking machine. The guys/girls (?) here will help keep you on the straight and narrow with maintenance and questions to keep it going for years. They have helped me out many times.:beerchug:

Looks like it's in decent shape. Do you have the side panels for it? We will all help you get it going and you'll be hooked. Interesting looking snow plow set up

The 1450 is what's known as a Quiet Line. The forum has owners an service manuals available for our members. Would be a good idea reading them over to familiarize yourself with the tractor.:beerchug:

You guys are great, thank you for the warm hospitality. Tractor has been garage kept, just hasn't been ran in some time now, and just sitting there. I want to get this guy going strong like my grand father had it going. Tractor does crank and seems like it has good compression, cleaned the carb as well, but It wasn't igniting the fuel, Removed the spark plug, and the internal point of the plug did have unburnt fuel on it. I know I could have trouble shoot, to see exactly what part wasn't giving it spark, but I went ahead and picked up a new ignition wire, New coil, and ordered a new voltage regulator as well. The tractor needed it, the parts looked a little rough. So we will see where that gets me. As for the side panels, i'll have to look at my grandfather's garage and see if he has them in there. The tractor sitting in his garage at this time, I'd like to get it home to my house where I have tools to work on it at. But I just want to see if I can get this thing fired up first.

I've been doing some research and I've seen that this tractor takes a champion H 10 spark plugs, is that right? I've heard autolight is the way to go instead of champion? If it is what type of auto light spark plug would it take? And at what gap should it be set at? Again I appreciate all the help and input. I'm only 29 years old, and just starting with my first riding mower. A little background on myself, I have been doing commercial HVAC service for 8 years. Like to work on my jeep and tinker around. So my new project is the mower :beerchug::beerchug:

Any other general checks I should do? I did notice that the front tires are off line from the steering, when the steering wheel is straight, one side tire is pretty straight and the other is almost pointing somewhat outward. I haven't reall dug deep to see why, but again I don't have the tractor at the house and I'm 35min away from the grandmother. I'm gonna try to get back over there this week, and weekend at some point.

There are no dumb questions. One of the many things I learned was to go by the Kohler spec for the plug and point gap, not the Cub manual. My 122 runs 1000 times better than ever with all new ignition parts, Kohler specs, and a rebuilt carb. Good luck! you will love every minute with it.

You will be better off and have better responses if you posts your inquiries under different subject matters in a new thread. Running them all together lessens your responses.

I,like Jeff122 posted would go to the points next before anything else if I had no spark.Could be a quick clean-up and re-gap would at least get you going. It looks like a nice machine and I'm sure your Grandfather would be happy to see it back on duty.
