Road trip and member meet
4 Attachment(s)
So after 11 1/2hrs I finally arrived in Columbia TN, on the way down I stopped to meet Randy ( aka RR1862CC ) to deliver his new 1050. The trip went pretty smooth other than the hour of rain that got my nice clean truck dirty, the new trailer hauled great. Tomorrow I will spend the day at powder coating school so I can learn how to properly powdercoat cubs parts:biggrin2:, here's some pics that were irresponsiblly taken at high speed. The stadium is in Nashville and is the home of the Tennessee Titans.

Cool pics Tim, sounds like fun, save travels, enjoy the trip.

Road trips are fun. Road trips cub related are even more fun.
|
I'm just off exit 11 on I-75 if you're near chattanooga.
|
Alright Tim 11 more hours and you're here. Glad you're bringing a trailer I have a couple for you :biggrin2:
Friends of mine just bought a powder coating system, really comes out nice. |
Great meeting you as well Tim. I just got in and faced that look when she saw the trailer was not empty, lol. I see you got a pic of the "Bat Building" on the way through down town.
|
BUSTED! now what ya gonna do?
|
It will blend with the other yellow and white things around here and after tomorrow she will not be able to point it out. Maybe that is why I do not have any red Cubs :biggrin2:

Hey Tim, i was thinking of PM you about a meet & greet the last couple days. I new you headed out on a trip. If your planning a gas stop in Cambridge Ohio on your return let me know. I'll run out to meet you, I'm only 4 miles from the interstate. Mike:beerchug:

I got all the color swatches today of all the colors they offer and I found this one interesting, can't wait to go home and see how close it actually is to the case/ih paint.
|
You didn't travel all the way to Tennessee to deliver a single Cub with that big trailer pulled by a pick up truck!?! You've got to be coming back to PA with a bigger load or something! Do tell!

My first attempt at powder coating just came out of the oven, the first pic is before baking. We were allowed to pick our color and of course I picked cub yellow.:biggrin2:

Don't look bad
|
Looks good in the picture, how do you think it looks like in person Tim?

A lot easier than painting right Tim? I've found out it's much more forgiving and not so many steps to get a good result like painting. A friend of mine bought out a powder coating business and I've been dabbling with it, pretty cool how it all works

Good news,I knew you were wanting to get up there to pick it up. I put the carb on the 1050 last night and she fired right up. Smoked a little then cleared up. When I get time I will run it some more then decide which engine to go with. I am out of the dog house now because I sold the other tiller and a goKart last night,I might have to give that 682 near me another look now ;)

I finally got home at 2, trip total was 1,620 miles. Here's some pics of the push mower.

1620 miles is a lot of ground. Hope you got cheap gas before crossing back into PA state border. For me, the Silverado is comfortable for the long haul. I hope it was the same for you!:beerchug: |
Nice mower Tim,I seem to pass on those when I see them at auctions, rather get some seat time.besides, where am I gonna put them?
|
Nice mower Tim.:beerchug:

Looks like a neat mower Tim..
I used to use the Lawn Boy version of that same mower about 20 years ago. Still got it.. just haven't run it in forever.. That thing worked great.. couldn't hardly stall that two stroke even in high grass... it just kinda sputtered and putted under no load but when you loaded it... smoothed right out!:beerchug: |
