Most comfortable?
Which is the most comfortable Cub Cadet you've driven and why? I've only ever been on a 125, 147 and 782. I like the set up feel of the pitch/height of the steering wheel of a 147 combined with the spring of the seat.

1864. Hands down. Self explanatory.
|
2182's , 2284 and a 1782. Cyclop Supers rule. :beerchug:
|
982 for me, longer frame, big tires, smooth ride. Only thing that could make it better - power steering.
|
My 70 with a 38" mower deck, gets in those tight places.
Oh and the 2284 I had,Big dog with a "tude" |
My 782's with power steering and smooth opposed twins.
No sore shoulder or knee from a clutch. Only thing better is a hired hand to mow while I sit in the shade:beerchug: |

I think my 72 wins that contest, there's just something about the pan seat on a spring.
|
im really liking the 1811 but just about any cub with springs on the seat is good with me.
|
My 782 with a CH20 and power steering.
|
As much as I hate to admit it my friends 2284 with the tilt was nice.
I put a steering wheel off a 105 on my 102 and didn't have to hunch over as much and it was pretty good. |
Cyclops tractors for me.
|
I didn't buy my Cubs for comfort. I wanted a well built machine to mow, garden and clear snow.
I'm happy and find mowing on my 125 with a 42" cast iron end deck very relaxing after working in the shop. |
Comfy? That would be my 1872 with the power steering, and the thin egg crate foam under the seat cover makes for a "comfy" ride:beerchug:
That power steering helps out the shoulder tremendously...:biggrin2: |
I like my 1200. Has more room it seems between me and the steering wheel. And it was the first cub I drove so. Lol
|
My 982 is comfortable to ride. The Onan is pretty smooth. :biggrin2:

Comfortable is not compatible with nostalgia nor is it compatible with functionality. The old cubs are sure awesome machines, but methinks most of you guys would wet your pants if you drove around on a GTX2100 or a XT3.
Now as far as a full functioning IH Built 1811 or similar with the full suite of attachments and dual stick hydraulic outputs and a PTO is pretty hard to beat, but comfortable compared to a new CC GT with foot control hydro like the GTX2100 or XT3GSE, electric power steering (yes...electric, just like ATV's and RTV's and snowmobiles have had for years) and you guys would secretly shed a tear. It is what it is. I am thinking second is the 3000 series. No other CC, IH built or not comes close. |

I can't believe I'm saying this, I think the 128 may be more comfortable than the 2072 or 982. The Supers seem to be stretched out just a bit much, and I'm 6'1". I do think I am going to like my 1811 the best when it is put into service.

I had an 1862 for a couple years I thought was quite comfy. I had the snowblower and deck but it wasn't the easist thing to swap attachments on mind you but nice to ride.
Loboy was nice to ride also but it has a clutch issue right now :( |

I do like the Cyclops series a lot.. they are very comfortable with the seat slides and tilt wheel they fit almost anybody. Turning radius is nice too! :beerchug::beerchug: |
Any super with power steering. The smaller tractors make me feel like I am sitting on a roller skate.
|
Top of my list is a IH cub Cadet 100 or 70.
A hydro Cub Cadet wouldn't be on my list of most comfortable. To me it is a pain to keep moving the direction lever to go up a hill. Everyone has their favorites.......mime is an IH cub Cadet 100 or 70. |
On more comfortable sitting in the seat putting the durable 125 or 124 to the tasks instead of spending more time on my knees fixing other crap.
|
Most comfortable cub has to be my 2182 hands down, the one I like to drive the most is my Baby Beast 782 But my 122 comes in a close second.
|
cub
For overall comfort (82 series) favorite to run(100) most comfortable seat had to be the rubber one i had on a 102. Mike:biggrin2:

Between a Clops (1440) and an 82 Series (1811) with the same style high back seat, I find that the driving position on the Clops is too tight even with the adjustable steering wheel. Whether that is due to the seat not engineered to move further back or a shorter distance between the dash and the seat tracks, I'm not sure. On the 82 Series, the dash and wheel is in front of you. On the 1440, I seem to be more positioned over the dash -- with the seat all the way back. Comfort wise, they are the same. Steering wise, the Clop wins.
