Just made a quick 2nd pass to keep the drive open from the drifting snow. Yep it's cocktail hour and I have a cup holder. :beerchug:
2nd pic was while I was plowing so you can see the snow rolling over at the top of the blade. |

That made me laugh out loud :biggrin2: |
Looks good Sam! I'm liking the chivas cupholder!:beerchug:

Here are 3 pics the wife took as I headed out on the 2nd mission of the day. I'll finish the job tomorrow after it's all done snowing and blowing. It's now cocktail hour, the Bota is parked in the garage with the heater aimed under it, nothing worse than a cold Bota. :biggrin2:
|
Bad day! I'm a dummy.
Nice pics guys! EDIT: Sam, you got off too easy!:biggrin2:
I posted a couple action shots last night in the other thread that my uncle took. Put a new bolt in today. Right as I finished my uncle rolled up with the FD plow and left a 3 ft windrow in front of the shed. I chewed my way through no problem. I started clearing the plow windrows and BANG! I jumped out to see the belt broken. Guess it could have been worse! I was probably pushing a little harder than I should have but I found out after looking up the belt, it had the wrong belt. I used the one I got with the blower. It was 5 " longer than it should have been. I can't believe I didn't notice that and that it worked great all of last season! If I cant get the belt tomorrow, I'll put the chained and loaded tires on the 782 and see how that goes. Now so this fits the thread here are a couple from about noon. It's still snowing and blowing. Thankfully the sun will come out tomorrow! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/m9...=w1039-h584-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/0d...=w1039-h584-no |

If you remember I was the one saying all along that "I Hate Snow" blame Tim for this. I'm all about warm weather and cocktail hour. I'm Old, I'm lazy and Snow Flat Out Sucks! Gotta Go My Cocktail is Getting Warm. :biggrin2: |
Got out the 1440 with the 451,did the driveway, then the head gasket blew, snow is wet, plus the 451 is all rusty, prolly why...
|
Lew you'll need the B&S Joisey head gasket kit. I think it's special order. :biggrin2:

Cool snow pics guys. Tomorrow I will clean up my place and plow 3 of the neighbors one is an elderly guy that has no one to help when it snows. I only did enough today to make sure that I could get out tomorrow, figured I can't help others if I'm trapped. Stay safe.

I took this about 9am this morning

One of these days I may go for a cab, the ski gear works for keeping warm but the snow in your face sucks. Guess I'm just getting old and soft. :biggrin2:

I was "eating" a 5' tall snow drift too. "Capt Obvious" would like to pass on his realization that the snow doesn't come out the chute when the chute is under the snow drift. |

Just got done doing my drive and 3 of the neighbors. I made the mistake of plowing yesterday, then the wind picked up and it drifted in the nice trench I made by plowing and turned into snowcrete. Busted my butt. Piles on the left side of the drive in the first pic are a little over 3' tall. Here are a couple pics of the finished mission.
|
I know you don't like snow Sam but you have to admit that takes a good picture

782 did well with loaded / chained tires! Going to try to go get a belt for the blower tomorrow because I don't feel like shoveling the 100 feet to the wood shed.:beerchug:

Finished digging out today, I measured 20 inches with a few 4' drifts along the back of the house and around the cars.
Attachment 71547 Attachment 71553 The neighbors wizard was useless as usual. LOL Attachment 71552 Had some fun with the 1450 and QA42A. I took lots of small bites to get through the drifts, sometimes they didn't break off and I drove under them. Attachment 71548 Attachment 71554 Attachment 71550 Attachment 71551 Bill |

Got out Dads Oliver OC-3 and had some fun. :beerchug: :biggrin2: This thing just goes right over the snow!

Your my hero! Too bad the Oliver doesn't have a blade on it. :beerchug: |
Lots of fun was had today. First pic is the tracks my wife left on her attempt to get to work this morning. Made it out the driveway just fine but the plow truck never got past the connecting roads around my house. She called out and did the shoveling.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...9.jpg~original http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...6.jpg~original http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...8.jpg~original I had the driveway all cleared when Mary got home at 4:30 yesterday. Plenty of snow and drifts http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...5.jpg~original As soon as my driveway was done, I went over to the neighbor's house you can see to the left of the Suburban thru the trees. ( look just to the left of the clothes line pole ) Vic mowed my lawn ever week when I was recovering my shoulder surgeries. He wouldn't accept gas or money. However, I was able to convince him to accept a case a beer each week. :beer2: It drifted so bad in his driveway I was clearing snow that was as high / deep as the hood. Made the first pass very interesting to say the least. The 125 and the QA 42 did a great job. Even his wife commented on how it just "ate the snow". |

Snow totals range from 12" to 18"......about a 15" average. Tough time getting going but we all got the job done!
Both 124 and 125 posed for pictures: Attachment 71563 Driveway leading to barn in back yard: Attachment 71564 Driveway in front of house. My truck isn't even 1/2 way up the front driveway. The driveway curls around to the left of picture....probably another 175-200 feet past the pickup truck! Attachment 71565 I'm tired. We're all tired! Good day for us all! Lot of fun! |
