Most Wanted! or, what cubs need to be added to your collection?

So despite that I'm very happy with what I have in my shed, I still have a "most wanted" list in the back of my mind.

Top of my list is an Original.

Next is a 147, because I love narrow frames and the 147 is the "muscle car" of the narrow frames.

I wouldn't say no to a 70 or a 100 looking for a place to stay.

if I had to let a wide frame in, I'd be cool with a 108 or a 149.

and i'd love a late International Cub.

What's on YOUR wish list? :bigthink:

Terry C 09-03-2015 10:18 PM

70-100
126
982

In that order
Good topic,I'm interested in the results

A whole set of red IH built 82 series.
And a pushmower that resembles the 128/9
And whatever the 18xx model was that replaced the 782

darkminion_17 09-03-2015 11:07 PM

A pull start 70 and 71,with roundy fenders of course!!

SS5150 09-03-2015 11:17 PM

I'd like a nice Original and a nice 982, and I want a 582 to play with, but I can't have them too nice, they've gotta do some work to hang around.

GTKid 09-03-2015 11:41 PM

I would say in no particular order, a 149, 86, 70, and 1772

I have a bad habit of buying any around here that need a home!

I wouldn't pass up the following for sure:

782D and or a 982

A 169 would be nice!

The list could go on forever!:beerchug:

Sam Mac 09-04-2015 08:59 AM

I guess I could find room for a nice 2284 or an 1864 :beerchug:

rocker582special 09-04-2015 09:18 AM

A 71,72, and 73. And also a 682, 782, and 982. The 982 definitely because I had a chance to buy one many years ago. But I was young n dumb and didn't wanna pay $75 for a tractor with a bad motor. Still kicking myself in the pants for not getting it.

Oak 09-04-2015 09:39 AM

Here are a few that I can think of:

Experimental, proto type or pre-production O
M&W equipped O
800
1912
1914
#1 & #4 cart

jimbob200521 09-04-2015 12:06 PM

Boy it's kind of a tie for 2nd and 3rd but first is an obvious choice for me. I'd LOVE a 982 dual stick, turning brakes, rear PTO, 3pt, Command (or diesel, preferably diesel) repowered. Basically a fully loaded 982 :biggrin2:

Next would probably be either a loaded 2182 or 1772. From there for 3rd it'd be a 782D. I know, I'm picky :biggrin2:

Woah, not sure you should have publicly admitted that :biggrin2: :beerchug:

Why not an 1872/2072 instead of a 982? You get power steering too. Only thing is it's not red.

Honestly, I like the red :biggrin2: Power steering is a very nice luxury but not absolutely necessary. Besides, it can always be added :beerchug:

Still looking to complete the top 5 rare list with a 169 and an 86. Then I'm wanting to go red with 782/982 and also #1 cart

Most of the rare IH Cub Cadets have been found. Some may want an IH Cub Cadet model that their Dad or Grandpa had.

This is a little off topic...I am looking for unique attachments. So far I have a # 1 and 2 trailer, #40 IH box blade, front blade(s) for a wide frame and early narrow frame IH Cub Cadets.

Other attachments I have are a Home Lite moldboard plow, Sears sleeve hitch plow, early sleeve hitch Brinly 10 inch plow, later Brinly 10 inch plow, Brinly 12 inch sleeve hitch plow and a Brinly-Simplicity 10 inch plow, Brinly planter, Cannon Earthcavator, Viking landscaper, and a home made carry-all.

I do own an IH Cub Cadet 800 which being restored, IH Cub Cadet 149, Orginal IH Cub Cadet, two running IH Cub Cadet 100 and running IH Cub Cadet 70, a non running IH Cub Cadet 70 plus 2 more IH Cub Cadet 100/70 that has not decided on what engine will be installed. I like the style of the 100 and 70s. My plans are to use the 100 and 70s for all my attachments.

You are considered the goo hoo of that series Merk. I forgot to add that to my wish list, those are great

drglinski 09-04-2015 10:26 PM

Since wishing is fun...

A cub O with headlights, fenders, front tri ribs, rear ags and a rear lift so I can plow with it. A spring assist would be nice too I'm sure.

cadzag72 09-04-2015 10:42 PM

Implements are fine to add to the discussion! I just found the tiller I wanted, but I'd like a rear blade and rear rake, and a 1 and 4 cart. Someday!

Merk 09-04-2015 11:08 PM

Attachments I want to find:
Rear IH blade/rake
Kwick Way loader

Jonah Close 09-05-2015 01:08 AM

Id like to find an Original and a 169 or 1650 with the Cozy Cab + attachments... :biggrin2:

Also maybe a 147.

drglinski 09-05-2015 12:56 PM

Attachments?

Brinly plow.
IH box blade.
#4 cart. (got a #2 and it's not high enough off the ground. anyone wanna trade? :biggrin2: )

johncub7172 09-05-2015 10:38 PM

Well, with a 1450 and many spare parts, I'm pretty content. However, I do have a nice 72 that has a k241, and is quite the boss-hoss!

I have a pretty nice, all original model 86 with original mower deck. After learning so much about painting on my 72, the 86 is going to be a lot better! Two rare tractors is fine by me!

I would like a set of disk harrows again! My friend won't come off the 102 with 4' sickle bar!

So I'm going to say repaint/restore my 86 to original, per correct police the best I can!

Great topic.

ccguy 09-05-2015 11:15 PM

To top it off, a 982.

twoton 09-06-2015 08:13 PM

Kinda want a 1650 but I think I'm just happy with what I got. Maybe just fix it all up, turn the 1450 into a 1650, one of the 1200's into a 1400 and just finish the other 1200 with creeper.

clay1811/44c 09-07-2015 09:52 AM

"Love the one you're with" I have two 1811's but, maybe I'd cheat on them with a 1872.

That's Funny!! :biggrin2::biggrin2:

sawdustdad 09-07-2015 09:22 PM

I like the WF and QLs the most. Not much of a NF guy, even though I have a 72 and a 123...

Here's what I'd jump on if I found one.

108 or 128 with a rear PTO
1450 or 1650 dual stick
169

Maybe an "O" just because.

mrmiller 09-07-2015 10:48 PM

All 12 O's that I've owned especially the 3 digit...

bruce s 09-09-2015 09:32 AM

My next cub would be a low hr. 1772 . With all the bells and whistles.:bigthink:

Shotgun Wedding 09-09-2015 09:43 AM

I joined Ashley Madison to see if I could take a ride on someone else's Model 100 to satisfy my cravings.

The answer was no, so still looking on craigslist.

At least that's what I told my wife.

I would like to make the later happen someday Sam. I just need to get a motor in the 1862 I got from you, and a Haban for the Super. :beerchug:

1650 duel stick is next on my list.:beer2:
