FINALLY got the garden plowed today!

I really, really wanted to put the 1050 on "garden duty" this year, but it just isn't working out for me..... So, today I finally had time and gave in. Took the cab off the 1811, got the skinny tires on, added the lower bracket for the sleeve hitch to my adapter plate I made for my tiller, and got the garden plowed. I will say, the soil was perfect, and with the exception of the fact I didn't have AG tires it did great. (The 6.50 AG's I had went with the 125 to my brother.) Now, just let it dry and I can till it. Alas, it looks like rain for the next week, so I guess my garden will be late this year. It will dry much faster after being plowed though.

Without any further delay, some pics!

Sorry, no pics of it finished. I had to stop before I was done and pick up kids, and eat supper. I finished it, but it was dark. We also took some video if you guys want to see it I'll kick it up on Youtube.

Looks good. I still got some tinkering to do on my setup couldn't really get it to fold over like that

Probably isn't shiny enough. The plow has to SHINE for it to roll the soil like that. :beerchug:

Its very possible I didn't get to much use out of it this year.

Now there's somebody that knows how to work it. Great video J-mech!:beerchug::beerchug::beerchug:

Looks great. Wish we had soil like that, wish we had soil! Just rocks up here.

Jon

I'd love to see you try to plow my rock garden at that speed. :biggrin2:

Cool vid buddy. :beerchug:

I'm thinking you should not go to a plow day cause you would be irritated at the slow guys.
Thanks for the vid

I'm not going that fast. Just looks like it because it's a small tractor. I was running around 5MPH. Perfect for plowing. No rocks here. I'm sorry for you guys with rocky soil. I wouldn't know what to do. When we see a rock here, we stop and pick it up. From the sounds of it, I wouldn't get anything done where you guys are!

I did hit a broken off T post..... Plow jumped and it bent the tip of the share just a little. Honked me off. The garden spot is an old barn lot. There actually is quite a bit of brick and rocks in it.

Probably! But in all fairness, that is an 18HP tractor pulling an 8" plow. I've got to find me a bigger plow. :biggrin2:

Should have figured you to be the one to post "dirty pictures" on here! :biggrin2: Looks good Agent 006. I am glad that you took some time off to enjoy a tractor rather than work on a tractor and play in the dirt. :beerchug: All work and no play makes Jack dull and Jill rich!
