Found me some discs!!!

I found these beauties on Sunday. I ended up going back yesterday and getting them. They lived just a mile down the road, and I didn't even know it.

Nice. My brother had one of those but my dad decided to do this to it when I picked up my 2284 with the 3 pt on it.

Sweet! :beerchug:

Your title says "discs"...... but I only see one. :bigthink:

That's what I thought. I scrolled down looking for another post with another disc:biggrin2::bigthink:

what's in a name? lol. I like that three point setup. these will end up with a linear actuator on them for power lift from the tractor. I've got a little welding to do as the hitch is worn a bit from the previous owner dragging them around corners instead of lifting them, that's were the power lift will come in.

Your doing it again...... "these" "them".... it's a "this" and an "it"..... not plural. It's a disk, not a disks. I'm not picking on you, I'm trying to educate. :beerchug:

lmao, I see more than one "disk", as in 10 disk blades. wouldn't that be plural? all in good fun my friend. it seems to vary region to region and even farm to farm.

You don't go hook up to your disks, unless your pulling two. You hook up to the disk and take it to the field. :beerchug:

so is it a "disc" or a "disk"? :bigthink:

To each their own. Many people around here call them disks even tho its one machine.

64fleetside 05-10-2015 06:38 AM

I have heard them called a disk or discs or disks all my life, farmers aren't known to be too good at grammar. Seems a silly thing to argue about just for the sake of arguing.

Disk harrow.
Must be a harrowing experience for the worms it encounters:bigeyes:

Regardless if it's disc or disk, I've NEVER seen any manufacturer of the equipment refer to their products in the plural form.

There are three blades on my deck. Would that make it a mowers deck?

Brinly isn't a "real" equipment manufacturer. :biggrin2:

I really didn't mean to make this a big deal. Sorry guys.

But it's still a disk. (With a K..... and it's just one.) LMFAO.

no harm, no foul. we argue over silly things like this so we don't argue over things that will hurt peoples feelings (yes that's plural, some people have more than one, lol). :BB&YS:
