Would this plow worth anything. If so how much

J-Mech 02-01-2015 06:39 PM

That looks like a blade to me...... :bigthink:

It's worth what people will pay. I'd say at least $10.

Looks like it has a hole in it?
I have seen some guys use street signs over the blade face to give it some more life.

cub cadet 72 guy 02-01-2015 06:53 PM

Yes, that is a large hole in it

drglinski 02-01-2015 07:20 PM

It's a blade. 100 tops.

That's a snow strainer, also called a screen in some parts of the country. Works best with powder snow. :biggrin2:

Probably worth more than that to the guy who just broke his blade and is now standing in ass deep snow and still coming, who needs to get to work.

This plow is problems and a headache. I went over a higher part on the driveway and it stopped instantly because the part that allows it to flip forward is siezed so the scraper is bent. Now I have to fix it tomorrow. All the problems are from the owner that I borrowed it from. It sat out for a long time.

Didn't see the hole.

Whatever scrap price is.

I guess it COULD be saved......but how much work does one really want to do to it?

My grandfather wanted me to patch his plow because it had a bunch of holes in it, fortunately I know someone with a few nos plows he got when a dealership closed so I bought on for myself and put my old plow on his tractor. I'd never patch a plow for what I can go buy a different one for but that's just me.
