1989 1050

I have a 1989 Cub 1050 3 speed, that I no longer need. I am curious if these have any value, anyone know? It's in good shape if that helps.

1050 is a decent gear drive machine. If your looking to sell it post it in the for sale section. Please read the ad policies first. My guess is it should be worth around $500 but pics would help.

They have value. I have one. I'd take another, but I'm not coming to Texas to get yours. If you want to sell it, do like Sam said. We have a few members in Texas, maybe one of them will be interested. Otherwise pop it on C-list or E-bay, a local newspaper.... your choice. Personally, I'd keep it. I never sell cubs, just buy. :biggrin2::biggrin2:

The 1050 was a pretty low production machine so that will increase the value.

Good machine, I'd take it if you were closer. It has value, like others have said it's a rarer produced machine BUT it was made by MTD. So your classic Cub collector may not have much interest in it. Find the right guy and you'll get a decent amount for it. I won't throw number out without a pic, though :beerchug:

Technically it was made by CCC, which yes was owned by MTD, but is still IH design for the most part. IMO a great tractor, and I would buy it too if I was closer. :beerchug:

I guess I need to think about that more when I post, whenever I think of CCC I think MTD which like you said, CCC is technically owned by MTD. I know what I meant and that's the important part :biggrin2:

But more to the point, the 1050 is a good machine. I just may kinda sorta miss mine a bit. I need to get J-Mech to post more pics of it working, he's slacking a bit on that!! :biggrin2:

What part of TX?:bigthink:

Thanks for all the quick responses. It seems down here in Texas, nobody really cares much about these older cubs. I would keep it if I had room, but just purchased a new John Deere x500, still not satisfied that it is anywhere close to the Cub. But I just needed something newer. I will post an ad with pics and see if I can get any takers.

:biggrin2: Wait Sam, don't you have a green machine lurking around your place?! I bet all your Cubs taunt it so it's probably hiding out somewhere in the back. :biggrin2:

To the OP: I just looked at your For Sale ad and I shouldn't have. Makes me wish you weren't in Texas or I wasn't in Illinois because I would buy that beauty in a heartbeat. Good luck finding a home, just wish it could be mine! :beerchug:

I know, I went to the other side. I had looked at the new cub cadets GT but they just seemed really poorly made. Also looked for older ones, but not much around the Dallas/Fort Worth area to choose from.
