Cub cadet 1450 With Several attachments

4 Attachment(s)
This is a Cub cadet 1450 Hydraulic lift I was told needs points and condenser to run. Should I buy it or what? I don't know much about the sprayer but I think it is cool. I wish someone could send me a link so I could find out more about the attachments like the rear blade and sprayer I am very curious to find out any information.

What's the price? If it's $500 you may get one answer, if it's $1500 you may get another answer. :bigthink:

If I were you, I'd be getting a little more info then "needs points and condenser to run". Why is the air cleaner off? Does the carb need rebuilt? ISO mounts shot? Does the engine smoke?, use oil? I ALWAYS ask these questions if the seller does not bring these items up. Of course you want to hide the price because he is probably asking way too much. It's worth what you are willing to pay...my .02

How are we supposed to give you our opinion if you should buy or not if we don't know how much? Looks like some good stuff, but as others have said......we need to know more.

Hey, look at it this way... You are getting a lot of toys, GO FOR IT!!! :beerchug:

I've never really liked taking peoples word that all it needs is a $10 part and it will run great, if it were that easy why didn't they fix it? You just never know what your buying if it doesn't run. It could smoke badly or have a knock or not even run at all and with a hydro tractor there's no way of telling if the rear end works as it should. Unless there dirt cheap I try to stay away from tractors that don't run, there's just way to many possible problems.

Honestly I look at is as parts tractor. the attachments are why I am buying it. Ive never seen the sprayer. The rear blade is awesome and it has the 3pt hitch. The sprayer may be a pile of junk but the treasure is the rear blade hitch and tiller.

if its price accordingly then have at it, i was just cautioning you about buying a tractor that may or may not run based off the sellers word.:beerchug:

A year ago I bought a baasket case 1450 with a tiller, 90° gearbox, a 44" deck and a BB-360 box scraper. It also had a 3 point hitch and a pair of IH wheel weights. I paid $350 for everything. The engine did run and it moved forward and reverse. The engine and frame were in great shape. I about replaced everything else.

I read it this way. If you don't care about the condition of the tractor offer him to take the rest off his hands, and "if" the tractor only needs $10 worth of parts he can sell it as the tractor only.
I'm thinking like Olds said. If it was only points and condenser he would have fixed it and sold it running instead of not. Sounds like.....fishy:bigthink:

The package deal with cost me $500 Now I am almost thinking the tiller and the blade are worth that. If I was to buy a tiller I would want the whole package I don't want to be one missing piece. around where I live a running wore out narrow frame can fetch $200 $250 that's bone stock no attachments flat tires ect.

Looks like you have a PECO yard vacuum as well. Do you have the big canvas bag and top piece?

Rocking416 01-20-2015 07:15 PM

I doubt it has the canvas

Rocking416 01-25-2015 05:39 PM

Well I bought it I am the proud new owner of the 1450 and all of the attachments looks like it needs some tlc but I manly bought the attachments for my 149

yea, to me your jewel is in the rear blade. You can easily sell the rest to get a free blade:beerchug:

This is cool..

Rocking416 01-25-2015 07:38 PM

The tractor is at my mothers Next time I am down there I will post some good close up pictures. I wanted to tinker with it but the rain and wintery mix was just not the kind of weather I want to work on it in.

I agree the rear backfill blade is a great find. I've got a tiller and landscaping rake but can't find a rear blade. The rear blade used the same mounting frame as the rake.

I found an old sears back blade, welded a bracket on it to fit the brinly hitch and painted it with primer and black slip paint. It works great and is very heavy duty and heavy...
