Having a slow day, Sam? :biggrin2:

I love watching people who don't know what they're doing think they know what they're doing and trying to teach people

It gets better watch pt 6 or 7 when he is making motor mounts to fit a wide base oil pan Kohler into the 1250 and look at the angle of the drive shaft when hes done.

Yep, too cold to work in the shop besides I'm waiting for parts. :biggrin2:

I think it might just be better if he didn't own a camera.

Do you grease your "sqashplates" with a brush, Sam?:biggrin2:

I like the part where he says it doesn't matter what way the charge pump goes, Oh Really ? He has it backwards LMAO :biggrin2:

No but I do use grease to hold the valve plates to the center section. Otherwise I use hydro oil like it says in the manual. I must be doing something wrong all my stuff works. Gotta wonder how many people have done it the way he explained it. :biggrin2:

Is there ever really a reason to tear into a hydro pump?

In this guys case, yes there was.
A big hole was found in the casting below the input shaft.
Due to severe corrosion it appeared.

Look at the other videos he has made, including his last (so far) perhaps he will live long enough to post more.

Not really any reason here either... except maybe just to look. Would have been better to just swap it.

Sure if you had another, etc.
Perhaps he has the skill or knows people that do to take that part off, weld up the hole and machine it where needed to save it, just because it could be done.

I dunno, but sometimes people actually like to do things that others view as the hard way or expensive way.
