Getting the super ready for snow removal
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,
Spent the past couple days getting the super ready for snow removal. We installed the weights, the tires were already loaded too, and installed the snow blade with the side markers, and installed the light. Just need to find some chains for it.:beerchug: |

Until the snow arrives, you could practice by moving some leaves,,,,,,, :bigthink:

Nick,
I just picked up the same set of chains Sam did. IIRC, I ordered them on a Saturday and they were on my door by Wednesday. Nice, heavy duty chains. |

Good looking snow mover. Might want to rethink the light on the blade due to a lot of vibration and bouncing around depending on your driveway surface. Your gonna like pushing snow though. Good luck.

Nick having used a blade on a super before your headlights will light things up just fine. Definately not the same for a 451 or 551 blower. The blower chute blocks the headlights and your forward vision. Not so much with a blade. I am planning on mounting some lights on my drift busters to use instead of the headlights. Only about one snow in a hundred will be deep enough to have to use the drift busters any way but you can easily push enough snow to have it fill the blade to over flowing.

Here's hoping you don't have to use it too often this winter. Also on the blade and on a gravel drive be sure you have the feet down to where the blade is at least a half inch above the surface even so you will also pick up some gravel but less than if the blade is lower. I actually tried to keep the blade edge about an inch above gravel level because the feet can dig in and suddenly you are pushing the gravel drive off along with the snow.

Looks good Nick!:beerchug:

We're expecting 10" to 12" snow during the Super Bowl, night snowfall.
While we're dyin' to try the Cubbie in the snow, no brade and frame assembly. We do have someone willing to part with the assembly, we just have to get our _utts in gear and go travel. Still, footrests are off, and a work in progress. Guess we'll have to use some of our other "stuff" this time around. :beer2: Kohler 16 hp and a 14 hp Magnum, chains 'n weights, grandsons will get seat time. |
Nick,
Looking good! We are supposed to get 10 inches overnight tonight. Wanna come play in the snow? :biggrin2: |

Looks good, you might want to drop back to two springs on the blade so it will trip easier.I think is was how Haban wanted them for snow and it ready takes a lot of the shock factor if you hit something you can't see .I've had three of these things so far and looking for one for my newest 2072.Have fun they say at least 8'' for us here in the Poconos of Pa.

Was wondering, "Four springs on the blade?" A bit much in my opinion. |
