Wavy sheet metal on GTX2100 ?
 

Upon delivery of my new gtx2100 I noticed the sheetmetal on fenders looks like it was hand hammered. Dealer says they all look like that. Anyone else notice that?

Does the dealer have another one in stock that you can compare it to? Or maybe you can check around at other dealers? Sorry but I can't answer your question.

I have the GTX2100 and it is not like that. Mine is smooth.

Thanks guys. Yeah the dealer had 3 and they all looked wavy. I asked them to call cub and they said cub said it is not a defect. Then I called cub they told me to send pictures. I'll try to post one here so you can see what I mean.

It's a hard life living between 2 JD guys. The guy across the street has a cub, but he only speaks to me.

That kinda looks like a 3000 series thing too. If you look at it at the right angle you can see some waves in it. I think it's from how they stamp them.

The Cyclops are also wavy if you look close, for that mater I think all of the stamped Cub fender pans have some waves. Just the nature of the beast.

A couple waves in the fender never bothered me much since it's a tractor and not a show piece but after checking out your pictures and noticing those uptown hub caps I see why you're concerned....LOL!:biggrin2::biggrin2:

Fenders look normal to me, it's a tractor, now the plastic hubcaps, well not so much:bigthink:

:American Flag 1:I bought the hub caps to protect the white rims. I plan on keeping this thing for a while, its built like a tank. the front bumper was a pain was on back order for 4 months with cub. Apparently only made for limited edition model.

Well cub got the pictures and I was told that a manager disapproved this as a warranty issue. Spoke with the dealer who told me that all of last years gt models had wavy sheet metal and this year they are smooth.maybe better quality control at cc this year, but for me not honoring warranty for poor workmanship speaks volumes.dealer agrees that my fenders are particularly bad.

Maybe the dealer could cut you a deal on a new set of fenders. :bigthink:
