great project. you have really made some progress.

red56turbo 10-19-2014 10:25 PM

Looking good Georg. You are moving right along. I see you're using one rag joint of the front instead of two. Did ya do that for space? I picked up four new ones from CC for my 1512, two front, two rear, and the newer ones are thicker than the older ones. Makes it very tight trying to get things lined up and bolts in place. Keep the pics a coming. :beer2:

George, I own a 782d and I assure you you 're doing a fantastic job. They are great tractors. Where did you find the diesel engine? Keep up the good work

The Diesel Engine is from a 1772, the 1772 is not in the best Condition and the Power Steering isn't working.
I made the Kohler from my 782 in the 1772 and stored it in, perhaps i will made it ready in a later Time.

"Ventzky" is a german Brand, they made Plows and other Agricultural Machines, today they make in Lawn and Garden Equipment. It's a MTD Concern Part and the sold the Cub Cadets in the late 80's under their own Name.

Georg,

Will your battery stay under the seat? Be aware that the Kubota D600 is very sensitive to having a strong ground. There is a factory bulletin on adding an additional ground of large gauge wire (I think 4 or 6) to the original ground. I hope your battery isn't too far away from the starter, etc.

Nice project!

jbrewer 10-26-2014 08:40 AM

That's a very good comment. My 782D(and I suspect many of them) has only marginal battery capacity during cold starts. I'd go as overboard as feasible to make sure you have a low resistance path to the starter and to ground.

When you're pulling 100A (or whatever cold start pulls) IxR losses are BIG even if the resistance seems low.

Yes, the Battery is under the Seat, i want to make the Tank in Front of the Dash Board. I will made all Wires new and i think it will work.
Today i made a Paper Model of a Fuel Tank and Friend will make the Tank in Metal,

Georg, I am impressed! That is quite a good job in creating the mock-up fuel tank out of paper. I can't wait to see the finished product.

782 from gas to diesel

Great job on converting from gas to diesel. Looks like a VW Rabbit fuel cap. Keep the updates coming.
Joe

That tank looks fantastic... there's a lot of "stuff" under the sheet metal of your 782 Georg, you've done a very very nice job!

John

J-Mech 03-28-2015 08:36 PM

Very nice Georg!

You won't have trouble with the fuel gelling in the winter.

Sie werden keine Probleme mit dem Kraftstoff Gelieren im Winter!

(I used a translater.... hope it worked! :beerchug:)

ihc353s 03-29-2015 06:13 AM

@Joe, the Fuel Cab is similar to the VW Rabbit. This one is a little smaller and comes from an German Motorbike Brand called "Zündapp". Zündapp were closed in the eighties and sold to China.

As next, i need a Hole for the Fuel Cab, Paint and a strong Battery, and i can make my first start.

And Yes, the Translator works,(:-)

I dont know if this will help, but back when I i use to race 1/4 mi? We would use a 5 point ground system. Cant see why it wouldn't work on a cub. Guarantee it would fix any ground problem.

Yesterday, the Diesel was ready for the first Mowing Job. The Motor and the Hydro System got new Oil and Filters.
I use the white Side Panels, because it has Holes for the Air and the Exhaust, and i think the new Design will make him pretty(:-)!

mfg Georg

Diesel Krazy 05-31-2015 10:00 AM

Great job. I like the different look of the side panels in white. It matches the car in the background too.

MikeMasheris 05-31-2015 01:08 PM

Nice conversion now you need to put a turbo on it to make more power.I have done a few turbo upgrades and sell a kit to install.

Cub Cadet 123 05-31-2015 10:15 PM

Very impressive work Georg!! :beerchug: Hope it mowed as well as it looks. All is left is to put that "D" next to the 782 on the hood.
