The bold...... The divine...... The Cub 109!!

Here is a cub 109 that has been in my family for a while. It was in pretty bad shape when my brother got it. He wasnt able to do anything with it. I got it now. Its in pretty rough shape. The motor spins over freely. I got most of the controls broke free and moving. Its needs tires and a full resto. I will be looking for a flywheel for the k241 thats in it now. The flywheel came apart. That was the reason why it was parked in the first place. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Love the wheels. Looks like what Cad would use on his machine.:biggrin2:

The last one.

The wheels were on my 70. The wheels for the 109 are stacked in the corner. The tires are shot. These atleast hold air so I can move it around the garage.

I hope you plan on putting a hydro fan back on it. I also like the exhaust.

Oh yeah. Its definitely getting a fan back on there. The biggest issue I have right now is getting the starter/generator apart.

Neither one of those flywheels that were just linked are correct.

Put an ad in the wanted section, or check with the sponsors above.

How did the old one break? Someone over-running the engine?

Man thats pretty rusty! Too bad you're too far away I have a set of fenders I would part with.

bocephus1991 10-13-2014 12:51 AM

Love the exhaust too! And I've never seen the foot tests rust out like that and the rest of the fenders be intact! Like those rear tires and the mags! Seriously the rear tires look mean!

Jonathan, I have no idea how the flywheel came apart. The governor was set correctly. The cooling fins somehow started coming off like shrapnel inside the housing. So we shut it off and parked it. I like the exhaust too. I think I'm going to replace it with the same. I wish I lived closer Minnesota Cadet. I would definitely take you up on that offer. I will search around for the correct flywheel. The motor will go through a complete rebuild. The tires are pretty cool. I think I'm going to replace them with new and put them back on the 70 when it gets done.
