Thanks |
I moved this post to the IH section where it belongs. All the smart IH guys hang out here and I'm sure someone will be along to help you out.
:Welcome2: |
January 1966. My 100 does not have that extra wire on the s/g. It is hooked up like yours it seems.
|
Looks like a home made wire harness on your not sure what you have, possibly a 71 frame with a 100 grill and hood, what gives it away is the serial number on the tranny and the oops clutch pedal, plus there is no push button switch.
Welcome to the forum:beerchug: |
Thank you for moving it for me. Also on the year from what I read on the internet was the last serial number started with a 12xxxx and mine is a 13xxxx. so I don't have a 100 iv got a 71?
|
This will tell you the year only.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=7114 There is a site that can tell you what model and everything. I never saved it. Hopefully someone will put it up. Then I can save it. |
|
By serial number, and everything that Lew pointed out, yes. It is a 71 with a 100 grille and hood. Everything else points to 71. Serial number range on a 71 is 127161-218009. Month and year posted earlier is close, but not correct. It was built in Feb. :beerchug:

Sorry can't really help you with your questions, but I have one of my own. Please tell me the mirror was a previous owner install and you don't plan on keeping it.
I wonder how the lift lever got such a terrible bend in it. Nice looking tractor. I bet it's fun to drive. |
If someone would happen to have the site with the make and post it on here I would really appreciate it. Id like it get it running better then what it is now then id like to paint it up some, my uncle has a snow plow for one he said he will sell me.
|
Yes after I drove it around in the yard I took the big dumb mirror off! If your interested in it I could ship it to you haha

So being I have a 1966 71 and not a 100 do I have the 7hp motor? I'm new to this and any information in general or where to find a few parts would be appreciate .
|
So other than the missing push button and the wrong trans-axle for a 100 why is this tractor a 71 and not a 100 with the wrong trans-axle?
|
Because of the oops clutch pedal, and the dash decal.

I'm pretty sure that is a 10HP motor in it too. Doesn't look like a 7hp from the pics.
More than likely, it has the hood, grille and motor from a 100 slapped into the 71 frame. |
Kinda looks like you do not have a tractor, you have a combine.

It was a boo boo at the factory. |

Curious, One of mine has a pedal with no "turn up" on the end, I thought it was a PO modification. For the life of me I don't remember which one it is... It's one that I don't use very often... Probably because I'm always afraid my foot will slip off the pedal... |
One of my 102s has the oops clutch/brake pedal too.
