IH Radios

On a semi-related note, I've thought a few times it would be cool to mount one of these up on a Cub.

At least convert it to an FM radio.... Do they still broadcast on AM? LOL!
I think someone on here did mount one of those on their cub..... :bigthink: |
Since this thread has already been derailed half a dozen times, I'm gonna throw this out there...
Betsy claims that when I'm running a tractor, the picture on the television is so messed up she can't see anything. Keep in mind that we don't have "pay television" just an antenna. Even though I believe what she tells me, I have never seen this myself because if a tractor is running, I'm outside. Maybe someday I'll pull one up outside, leave it run, come inside and turn the tv on to see what happens. LMAO, maybe I need to put resister plugs in all the Cubs. |
My neighbor's green poppin' model 60 does the same thing to our TV reception.

radio
Wasn't there an optional radio back in the day? I bet it couldn't even be heard over the engine and mower.

As far as I know the IH radio was never an option for the GTs. But you could buy this dandy for your Farmalls and whatnot.
I've thought more than once about adding one to my Cub. |
What! And drown that lovely single cylinder music? Never!
|
Well as long is it is still derailed...

There actually was a radio available for Cub Cadets. I have never seen one in person, I've only seen them in my accessories catalog that came with my 1200.
|
same radio as the farm models but factory mounted on hood for cubs am only and you now could find a 80s converter mount it under the hood so cant be seen and listen to local music like I did
