Why did you choose the user name you did?

I'll start. I'm not too good at picking a username and they usually end up kind of corny. So, I thought longer and it became obvious for me here. I picked mine based on the one little boy I love more than anything and he happens to like my (our) Cub as much as I do. He likes jumping up on "his" tractor and sitting there while I do my thing in the garage.

J-Mech 09-10-2014 05:49 PM

First off, I want to say that the first Cub I owned was a 127. Yours is gorgeous!! Wish I could find another one in decent shape.

My user name was easy. It's the name of my business.

cc_bob 09-10-2014 05:56 PM

People called me "Cub Cadet Bob", that was too long so.. cc_bob

olds45512 09-10-2014 06:17 PM

I love Oldsmobiles and when I went to get email for the very first time I wanted olds455 but it was taken but it gave me a list of alternatives and olds45512 was the one I choose.

Calvins66Cub 09-10-2014 06:31 PM

I bought a 1966 122 for my son Calvin(6). He and I tinker with it. That's how I learned to work on stuff. He loves to take it apart and put it back together. At the rate we are going, it will be restored in 10+ years.:biggrin2:
The kids like to ride it around too!

bolivier 09-10-2014 06:44 PM

Let's see here. My name. Easy enough. bolivier=Brent Olivier. I have the same username on all sites so my life is easy.

drglinski 09-10-2014 07:21 PM

Mine is my first initial, middle initial then last name.

Shotgun Wedding 09-10-2014 07:21 PM

Mine is also st explanatory. Lets just day "I did what I had to do". Nuff said. That was 26 years ago and I now have a shotgun of my own.

I Like easy too. Its tough for me to remember peoples names when they don't use their names except when talking to each other on the forum... Sorry, just very confusing. Old school here, I use my real name.

robpa 09-10-2014 07:35 PM

Rob, from PA. easy nuff.
looked better here than others I use; longtail & fancy feather.

HoundDog 09-10-2014 08:18 PM

Thanks, J Mech. My old friend did the restoration. He's the one as to where credit is due. I just take extremely good care of it. (I didn't have him restore it for me. We made a trade. That's how I got it.

Anyway, keep em coming guys!!

Leadslingingdaddy 09-10-2014 08:18 PM

Its what I do every day.

Yosemite Sam 09-10-2014 08:27 PM

I chose mine because the application wouldn't let me use "Horses A$$"

Yosemite Sam and I kinda have the same personality.

darkminion_17 09-10-2014 08:35 PM

this pretty much sums it up.

The Dark Minion is a vampiric Dunmer nightblade who moves into Deepscorn Hollow.

The Dark Minion wears one of only four black hoods , along with a dark shirt, a pair of laced leather pants, a pair of leather boots, and a leather bracer. In combat he relies entirely on a leveled dagger.

Sounds a little like my ex-wife...

rwairforce 09-10-2014 09:01 PM

Pretty much the same for me. I'm Jeff and I live in Pennsylvania :beerchug:

Alvy 09-10-2014 09:26 PM

Mine has been my nickname since high school, it's a shortened version of my last name.

When I first joined I thought you were a doctor from your screen name.

fourinchdragslicks 09-10-2014 09:45 PM

I built a rail buggy in high school based on wv running gear. While it was under construction, it had the wv tires on it, and a friend made a comment about it having 4 inch dragslicks. Looking back, I would have chosen a different user name.

chris hall 09-10-2014 10:03 PM

my name simple.i am not very creative .

juniors1282 09-10-2014 10:21 PM

Well my dad started calling me junior about 40 years ago, so when he gave me the 1282 people would see it after I cleaned it up and made a few changes and they would ask my dad if that was his old cub! And he would say nope that juniors 1282 now! Hence juniors1282!! So because of my dad I guess!

Hahahaha I still call him Dr. (in my head) when I read his posts. :biggrin2:

Mine was my college ID. It's the first 3 letters of my last name and first 3 letters of my first name, William Berry. I started using it for other things in college and have just continued because it makes life easy.

Bill

bocephus1991 09-11-2014 12:42 AM

Mine, well have been a Hank Jr fan since 85 have seen him 13 or 14 times in concert so that's the bocephus part. 1991 was when I graduated high school .

johncub7172 09-11-2014 01:01 AM

Well, my real name is John. When I became a member, I had just two IH Cub Cadets, so johncub7172 seemed to make sense at the time. Now, its like: forget it.

Someone thought I was Native American. Though I've been called john3bears a couple times, lol!

Nice to read some of these replies,.... they're funny!

:biggrin2:

zippy1 09-11-2014 01:17 AM

In school everyone was calling me Arnold. You know, the pig from green acres? His last name was Ziffel, or Ziffle. Then when we got out of school it went to Zip. So instead of the Arnold thing I took the zip added the py1 and the rest is history.

We call my Brother "Two Sheds" though it would probably be funnier if he didn't actually have two sheds.

cubcadet 09-11-2014 06:27 AM

Mine is the same as my favorite garden tractor brand.:biggrin2:

Cubcrazy 09-11-2014 07:53 AM

Mine is pretty self explanatory.:biggrin2:
Crazy about cubs!:beerchug:

rocker582special 09-11-2014 08:29 AM

User name

I choose mine based on my firs cub I bought. A 582 special and my softball nickname is rocker. I love cubs

Stratmoore Farms 09-11-2014 08:44 AM

Mine is easy enough, it is the name of my hobby farm. I combined part of my last name with my wife's maiden name, added "farm" to the end and called it a day.

Ash_129 09-11-2014 08:45 AM

Ash - from the Evil Dead movies (not that stupid newer movie). You know, the lead character played by Bruce Campbell.
129 - I have one Cub Cadet. It is..... a 129.

jimbob200521 09-11-2014 08:49 AM

Mine's not very interesting, but it dates back to high school. My best friend then (and now) had the name of "Bob" and somehow, I don't remember how, I got the nickname "Jim". There's where the jimbob comes from. I graduated high school in 2005 and, at the time, couldn't wait to be 21 :biggrin2:

"BOOMSTICK!"

Love those movies!

Mines just my first initial and last name
Jeff Kier

Use to use different screen names for groups but felt kinda silly telling people who I was at meets by saying "I'm 53FordF100"

CADplans 09-11-2014 08:58 AM

I think the mods ought to offer an "open enrollment period" annually, similar to the healthcare enrollment period. :bigthink:

Those who choose a name incorrectly could change their name.

You might get more responses to a new thread if the responder did not have to type;

"what color sparkplug wire are you gonna use, georgewashingtoncubloverfromchattanoogatennessee?"

each time!! :biggrin2:

If the names were easier to type, my index fingers would not be so calloused!! :bigthink:

:LMAO1:

j4c11 09-11-2014 09:20 AM

Ok follow closely:

If you translate j4c11 to binary , the result is:

01101010 00110100 01100011 00110001 00110001

Converting that back to decimal, you get :

456145449265

You add up all the numbers and you get : 55

1955 is the year McDonalds opened it's doors.

Voila.

darryljs 09-11-2014 09:20 AM

Just my first name and middle and last initial. Easier for ME to remember :biggrin2: cause sometimes I have to use my GPS to find my way home (selective forgetfulness depending how long the "Honey Dew" list is).
