Opinions needed
As some of you know I do collision repair and tractor restoration for a living. For a few months now I've been toying with the idea of doing a series of how to videos specific to cub restoration to help out my fellow members and I was just curious if this is something you all would be interested in? I find most times its easier to learn something by watching someone else do it and hearing it explained then trying to just read something and look at pics, also if you have any specific questions about body and paint work you'd like answer just post them up here and I will do my best to answer those in the videos. Thanks.

One vote in the Yes column.
Thanks for offering. I for one love pictures and videos. I've viewed a few on Youtube just for educational purposes. Some folks have a talent for speaking on a video and making points, etc. I watched one showing axle seal replacement and it was cool. Even if it's something I've done I like seeing if another way may be better. |
Go for it. I enjoy videos and learning things so I would benefit for sure.

Count me in, I'd love to learn how to paint with something other than a rattle can.

Another vote in the yes column. Restoration is something I'd love to do on a machine one day, but would like to know more before I go for it. As it is right now, I'd sand, clean, and paint. I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that :biggrin2:

Sounds good to me.

Yes also, but wouldn't this be easier if it was set up as a poll instead of reading through all of the post or trying to tabulate them? Maybe these could be placed in the restoration section.

That is a great idea and it would really be helpful.
One of the guys on the Kawi2Stroke forum does videos of different maintenance/rebuilding on the Kawasaki Triples and it's a big help. |
Absolute yes from me. I doubt anyone would say no to any instructional video. Maybe make it a Multi part you tube series, like Saturn and others have done. Can't wait.

Yep me too.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will start getting some stuff together and hopefully have the first video up in a week or two.

Excellent, my friend! You have my 100% support! For constructive criticism, there is a lot in my opinion by way of detail in procedure that is missing from the great site we have here. Some things have not exactly hit one out of the park, but rather went under the radar, under rated by some. I don't exactly do my homework all the time, so I'll stop here, lol!
Thank you for your support in these garden tractors! :American Flag 1: |
