Got the 127 running again
What an ordeal, first go around. In less than an hour, I wiped out the new rod. std. I found a shop & it would not clean up at twenty, they welded it an turned it to standard bore. It seems to have a little side clearance on the crank. I mowed at two thirds throttle for 2 hrs. 3 more runs, and change the Oil.

Kohler cranks can't be welded up. They will break. You may be doing this again. I don't know where you found a shop to weld it. My crank grinder refuses, no matter what.

I know its a "new" engine, but mow at W.O.T.

Welcome to OCC, williebgood75.
From your post it kinda sounds like you have a little case of "stage fright" there's no one here to be afraid of and I believe that you have a real story to tell about your 127. Take a deep breath and dive right in and let us know what all has happened. This site isn't all about advice and getting help with things, it really is ok to just share "experiences" with everyone. |

127
I bought the cub 2 years ago paid 400 for it ,I set the timing, rebuilt the PTO. It did great. The second mow this year it started smoking out the breather, Took it apart. ,The dipper had broken off an wiped out the rod. The guy at the tractor Place said the crank will clean up for standard rod .Well I didn't recheck before I putt it back together. Live an learn !

Well, we can say this... it will run until it won't!
