landlords 86
 

my landlord got a cub about 2 months ago and i never got a good look at it till today and it turns out that its an 86. i saw him mow with it once and since then it has sat unused so im going to try to buy it hopefully for cheap. hes been mowing with another tractor so im not sure if it has problems or not but hes all about scrapping stuff so i wanna save it before it get melted down.

i just went and got a better look at it, one side is 86 decals and the other side is 108 decals. not really sure what thats all about but it definitely has a really small kohler in it so all is well. im just waiting to talk to him to see if i can get it, hes been mowing around it so dont think it runs.

its definitely an 86 but the 108 decals on the one side seems kinda weird, both decals look original and the tractor looks to be original paint.

Side-to-side seems really weird. It's not like half of the hood or tower unbolts down the middle. Maybe someone was playing around and trying to rebadge it for whatever reason?

Go get the sn#. I'll tell you what it is for sure. :biggrin2:

its an 86 of that im sure, it has the 8hp engine with a small air cleaner.

Never know, coulda been a re-power??

I know a Fella who several years ago bought a new Ford pick-up one fender had an F100 badge and the other side had an F150.

Hopefully hes home tonight so i can pay my rent and ask him about it, hes got one heck of a work schedule so hes always hard to find.

I honestly cant remember how the muffler looked, i was a little distracted by 5 roosters that were heading my way. I grew up around farms and animals dont bother me but i had a bad experience with a rooster one time so when i saw 5 of them heading my way i figured it was time to go.:biggrin2:

They can get awful mouthy. Ya gotta, I say Gotta keep on your toes son. Toes, that is. The snow, I say the snow is getting so deep the farmers have to jack up the cows to milk them!
