Cultivated sweetcorn
4 Attachment(s)
I cultivated my first 8 rows out of 32 of sweetcorn today. The first 8 rows were only tall enough to cultivate as my other rows I staggered out by weeks when I planted so its not all ready at same time.

Sweeeeeeet!!!!
What cultivator are you using? |
Its a Gilson cultivator. I got it outta my uncles weed patch 4 years ago and stripped it down. Primer, paint, new guage wheels and new sweeps are what I got in it. Just needed some tlc and restored. It does a good job cultivating especially when I got cultivator free!:beerchug:

Awesome, nothing better than your own sweet corn. Yummy!
NIK, Nice job. |
That is awesome man. What kind of sweetcorn do you plant and what do you do with it? Roadside sell?
|
Great pics!:beer2:

Thanks guys! I plant ambrosia sweetcorn and I do sell it along a busy road. It does very well on selling and I also cut it up for my family to freeze. Nothing better than sweetcorn off the cob during winter. :beerchug:

Awesome action pics, Jerry!

Is the purpose of cultivating to keep weeds from coming up?
|
Yes it keeps the rows clean of weeds and loosens the soil around corn for root growth.:beerchug:

Looks awesome with the dual wheels!
